The school authorities are faced with the challenge of accommodating all the students who require transportation without purchasing additional buses. To maximize the capacity of the existing fleet and ensure all students are served, several practical solutions can be considered. First, the authorities can implement a revised bus route system that optimizes efficiency and covers a wider area, reducing the need for multiple trips. This could involve adjusting the routes based on the location of the waiting list students. Secondly, the authorities could explore options such as staggered school timings, which would allow for multiple shifts of transportation, utilizing the same buses more effectively. Furthermore, they can encourage carpooling among parents and students residing in close proximity, reducing the number of students relying solely on school buses. Additionally, the school authorities can collaborate with public transportation services to provide subsidized passes or dedicated routes exclusively for students, further expanding transportation options. By implementing these practical solutions, the school can maximize the capacity of existing buses and ensure that all students, including those on the waiting list, have access to reliable transportation services.
