In the few Harappan sites that continued to be occupied after 1900 BCE, there appears to have been a transformation of material culture, marked by the disappearance of the distinctive artefacts of the civilisation weights, seals, special beads. Writing, long distance trade, and craft specialisation also disappear. In general, far fewer materials were used to make far fewer things. House construction techniques were no longer produced. Overall, artefacts and settlements indicate a rural way of life in what are called “Late Harappan” or “Successor Cultures”.

The message the poem ‘The Voice of the Rain’ gives to the readers is the message of giving back to our source or origin. The rain receives life from the earth and its water bodies. It rises from the earth and forms into clouds in the sky; finally it falls back to the earth and its water bodies. Thus rain gives life back to the source from where it receives life.

(ii) Laldenga took over as the Chief Minister.

The marketing concept as a business philosophy is traced from its origins as a business belief where efficient production was the emphasis to the current belief which emphasizes customer needs as a means of long-run business success. The concept has evolved in a progressive fashion over the last century. There are four stages in the product life cycle: introduction, growth, maturity, and decline. Life Cycle: Firms' products progress through the stages of development, which is indicated by their changing profits over time.

Given, mass, m = 72.2 kg
Gravity acceleration, g = 9.8 m/${{s}^{2}}$ Scale reading = apparent weight = R = ?
(i) While descending with constant velocity, a =0
R = mg
R = 72.2 x9.8
=>R = 707.56 N
(ii) While ascending with a = 3.2 m/${{s}^{2}}$
R = m(g + a)
R = 72.2 (9.8 + 3.2) = 938.6 N

On New Year’s Day the weather changed for the worse. The waves were gigantic. Strong gales did trouble them. As the ship rose to the top of each wave, they could see endless huge waves rolling towards them. The howling of the wind and the spray was painful to the ears. The sky grew dark. A torrent of green and white water broke over the ship. The captain was thrown overboard.

The taxi charges in a city consist of a fixed charge together with the charge for the distance covered. For a distance of 10 km, the charge paid is Rs 105 and for a journey of 15 km, the charge paid is Rs 155. What are the fixed charges and the charge per km? How much does a person have to pay for travelling a distance of 25 km?
Solution:
Let the fixed charge be Rs x and per km charge be Rs y.
According to the question,
x + 10y = 105 …………….. (1)
x + 15y = 155 …………….. (2)
From (1), we get x = 105 – 10y ………………. (3)
Substituting the value of x in (2), we get
105 – 10y + 15y = 155
5y = 50
y = 10 …………….. (4)
Putting the value of y in (3), we get
x = 105 – 10 × 10 = 5
Hence, fixed charge is Rs 5 and per km charge = Rs 10
Charge for 25 km = x + 25y = 5 + 250 = Rs 255
