A computer system can be considered to be made up of two main components—the hardware and the software. All the physical devices such as the monitor, the mouse, the keyboard and the CPU that we can touch and feel comprise the hardware components. The hardware components alone cannot do anything. These components have to be given instructions to perform any task. Software is a set of programs and related data that are used to give instructions to the hardware.

Steps of Construction
Step 1: Draw a circle with O as center and radius 3.5 cm.
Step 2: Mark a point P outside the circle such that OP = 6.2 cm
Step 3: Join OP. Draw the perpendicular bisector XY of OP, cutting OP at Q.
Step 4: Draw a circle with Q as center and radius PQ (or OQ), to intersect the given circle at the points T and T’.
Step 5: Join PT and PT’.

Sometimes in C3 plants, RuBisCO binds to oxygen molecules and the reaction deviates from the regular metabolic pathway. The combination of RuBP and oxygen molecules leads to the formation of one molecule of phosphoglycerate and phosphoglycolate. This pathway is called photorespiration. During photorespiration, no sugar or ATP molecules are synthesized, but just CO2 is released at the expense of ATP and the whole process is futile.
However, C4 plants do not undergo photorespiration due to their special mechanism to increase the CO2 level for enzyme binding. During the Hatch and Slack Pathway, the C4 acid, oxaloacetic acid (OAA) breaks down to release CO2. This ensures the high concentration of intercellular CO2. Thus, in C4 plants, RuBisCO is more active as a carboxylase enzyme rather than as oxygenase. This is why C4 plants have better productivity.

Ultrasounds are high frequency waves, which can travel in defined paths even in the presence of many obstacles.
- Ultrasonic waves are used to capture the images of the heart and its features and problems associated with the heart, if any (for treatment purpose). This is called echocardiography.
- Ultrasound scans/Ultrasonography are very commonly used to get images of internal body organs such as liver, kidney, uterus. It helps the doctor to diagnose and treat problems in the body of the patient. In this method, ultrasound waves are made to travel through the body to the organ under consideration. They get reflected and these are converted to electrical signals which can be monitored on a screen.
- Ultrasonography is used to observe the growth of the fetus inside the uterus. It can also used to monitor the abnormalities.
- It is used to break kidney stones into fine grains which later get flushed out through urine.

A text editor is used solely to write and edit text. You can copy, cut, paste, undo and redo. Text formatting is not available in those editors. A word processor allows you to edit text in addition to multiple other functionalities such as text formatting (italic, bold, underline, etc.). In addition to that word processors allow automatic spelling and grammar checks. It also comes with a thesaurus for word selections. Some word processors come equipped with predefined themes and templates to make it easier for you to start you work. Some popular word processors are Microsoft Word and Apple Pages.

India adopted multi-party system for the following reasons
(i) Being a vast, and diverse country, the multi-party system was needed to accommodate the vast population.
(ii) The diverse social and geographical features could not be represented with two or three parties.
(iii) The multi-party system in India evolved over a long time, depending on the nature of society, its social, regional division, its history of politics and its system of elections.
(iv) Multi-party system ensures a healthy competition between different parties and prevents dictatorship of a single party. Indian Constitution declares India as a democratic country. Multi-party system fulfils this criteria and provides chance for proper growth of the nation.
