Step 1, Given data Length of the train = 200 m Length of the bridge = 400 m Velocity of the train = 36 km/h = 10 m/s Step 2, Find the time taken For the complete crossing of the bridge, the train has to travel a total distance equal to 400 m + 200 m = 600 m We know, Time taken = total distance/velocity Putting all the values Time= 600/10= 60 sec Hence the time taken by train to cross the bridge is 60 sec or 1 min.
