  • The new teacher at the school Abdul Kalam studied tried to create differences between the students of different communities. The elders of the society spoke to the teacher and very clearly told him that what he was doing was not correct. They led by example and showed how they had never harbored such differences.
  • In another situation, the teacher’s wife was not ready to 'serve food' to Kalam in her kitchen. Here too the teacher stood his ground and told Kalam that if something had to change for the good, one has to hold ground with conviction. He did just that and the teacher's wife slowly accepted his point of view.

People can change their attitudes by understanding the fact that conflicts are bound to arise but one should resolve them forthright.

In 1983, Eli Lily, an American company, prepared two DNA sequences corresponding to A and B chains of human insulin and introduced them in the plasmids of E. coli to produce insulin chains. Chains A and B were produced separately, extracted and combined by creating disulphide bonds to form human insulin.

A bar graph represents data using a series of bars across two axes. The x-axis (the horizontal) classifies the data by group, with one bar for each group. So for example, if you were displaying the number of beads of each color in a jar, the x-axis would have a section for each color, and each color would have its own bar. The y-axis (the vertical) shows the value for the category for each bar. In the bead example, this would be the number of beads. So the bar for green beads might extend up to five, for example, whereas the bar for red beads may extend up to only two. The y-axis can be many different values, though; for example, money, a growth rate, an average speed or even a percentage of the whole. Similarly, the x-axis values and bars could represent the same quantity at different points in time, and this capability shows a big difference between bar graphs and pie charts.

Pie charts are circular graphs that display percentages of a whole as if they were slices of a pie. This is very similar to bar graphs in that the individual slices of pie mean that the data has to have the potential to be categorized. The “slices” of the pie have sizes to indicate the proportion of the whole they represent (although a legend beside the chart usually shows the precise figures), but unlike bar graphs, pie charts can’t be used to explicitly show absolute number values for each group. The shape is the most obvious difference between pie charts and bar graphs, but the restriction to proportions with pie charts is the most important

This pathway was worked out by Hatch and Slack (1965, 1967), mainly operational in plants growing in dry tropical region like Maize, Sugarcane, Sorghum etc. In this pathway first stable product is a 4-carbon compound Oxaloacetic acid (AAO) so called as  pathway.  plants have Kranz Anatomy (vascular bundles are surrounded by bundle sheath cells arranged in wreath like manner), characterized by large no of chloroplast, thick wall impervious to gases and absence of intercellular spaces. The primary  acceptor is a 3-carbon molecule Phosphoenol Pyruvate present in mesophyll cells and enzyme involved is PEP carboxylase. OAA formed in mesophyll cell forms 4-carbon compound like malic acid or aspartic acid which is transported to bundle sheath cells. In bundle sheath cell, it is broken into  and a 3-carbon molecule. The 3-carbon molecule is returned back to mesophyll cells to form PEP. The  molecules released in bundle sheath cells enters the Calvin cycle, where enzyme RuBisCO is present that forms sugar.

The origin of the word 'yoga' is from the sanskrit word 'yuj' which means 'to join'. According to Patanjali, who is supposed to be the founder of yoga, the meaning of the ' yuj' is to stabilize the mind for the union of Atma and Parmatma. In simple words, yoga is a way to join God.
