Red algae are different from other groups except for diatoms. Listed below are general characteristics of Red Algae.
- Lack of flagella and centrioles
- Presence of photosynthetic pigments
- Found both in marine and freshwater
- They show biphasic or triphasic life cycle patterns.
- They are a multicellular, filament, blade structure.
- Stored food is in the form of starch and polymers of galactan sulphate
- A pit connection (hole in the septum) is formed between two algal cells.
- Have a diffuse growth pattern- Apical growth, Complex oogamy (triphasic)
- These group of red algae is generally found in tropical marine locations
- The mode of nutrition may either be saprophytic, parasitic or also epiphytic.

Sam had gone to the Third Level of Grand Central Station from where, he arrived in Galesburg of 1894, an imaginary refuge from rushing lives of the modern world. In 1894, Galesburg was a peaceful city. It had forgotten the First World War, which was twenty years back and no chances of Second World War for another over forty years. It was a city of huge frame houses with wonderful lawns and big trees forming a sort of umbrella on the roads.
People had very leisurely life style and there were no competitions among them. They liked sitting in their lawns and enjoyirig together in each other's company. So every thing was well placed and well settled with complete mental peace. They had no tensions, stresses or embedded fears in their minds and thus no mental ailments. Sam, being a psychiatrist, would not find any patient there, that is why it was said that he certainly can't go back to his old business in Galesburg of 1894.

Cactus prepare their food through the process of photosynthesis, like any other plant. Since, Cactus have their leaves reduced to spines, therefore photosynthesis takes place through the stem. The stems are green by the presence of Chlorophyll to make food for the plant.

AB is a chord of length 9.6 cm of a circle with centre O and radius 6 cm.

The tangents at A and B intersect at P.
CONSTRUCTION : Join OP and OA. Let OP and AB intersect at M.
Let PA = x cm and PM = y cm.
Now, PA=PBPA=PB
and OP is the bisector of ∠APB∠APB [∵∵ two tangents to a circle from an external point are equally inclined to the line segment joining the centre to that point.
Also, OP⊥ABOP⊥AB and OP bisects AB at M [∵∵ OP is the right bisector of AB]
∴∴ AM = MB = 9.629.62cm
=4.8cm.=4.8cm.
In right △AMO△AMO, we have
OA=6cmOA=6cm
and AM=4.8cm.AM=4.8cm.
∴∴ OM = OA2−AM2−−−−−−−−−−√OA2−AM2
=62−4.82−−−−−−−√=62−4.82
=12.96−−−−√=12.96
=3.6cm=3.6cm.
In right △PAO△PAO, we have
AP2 = PM2 + AM2
⇒x2=y2+(4.8)2⇒x2=y2+(4.8)2
⇒x2=y2+23.04⇒x2=y2+23.04...(i)
In right △PAO△PAO, we have
OP2 = PA2 + OA2 [Note ∠PAO=90∘∠PAO=90∘, since AO is the radius at the point of contact]
⇒(y+3.6)2⇒(y+3.6)2
=x2+62=x2+62
⇒y2+7.2y+12.96⇒y2+7.2y+12.96
=x2+36=x2+36
⇒7.2y=46.08⇒7.2y=46.08 [using (i)]
⇒y=6.4cm⇒y=6.4cm
and
x2 = (6.4)2 + 23.04
= 40.96 + 23.04 = 64
⇒x=64−−√=8⇒x=64=8
∴∴ PA=8cm.

Animal figures, model cart and plough are some of the terracotta toys mentioned in this lesson. I think, children would have liked playing with the model cart the most. Even today; most of the children enjoy playing with toy cars.
