2x+3y=42 -2x-35y=-32 0. -32y=10 y=10/32=5/16. -------1 Substituting y in 2x+3y=42 2x+3(5/16)=42 2x+15/16=42 (32x+15)/16=42 32x+15=672 32x=657 x=657/32
