Teachings of Kabir:
- He criticized the caste system and polytheism. He opposed the division of society on the basis of caste. He opposed the undue importance attached to the dogmas prevalent in society at that time.
- He used the concept of Zikr and Ishq to express the Hindu practice of Nam Simaran (remembrance of God's name).
- He promoted the concept of Nirguna Bhakti and asked that God is formless or shapeless. He is omnipotent and Omnipresent.
- Salvation can be attained only through Bhakti.
