Learning a new skill is quite challenging. I vividly remember the challenges I had to face to learn to ride bicycle. My father could not afford me children’s bicycle, which has safety wheels on either side of the bicycle to keep you from falling. So I had to learn bicycling on my father’s bicycle. It was far to bigger than me; I had real difficulty controlling it. Since my height was very short, I could not mount the seat meant for riders, I just hung on it and ran along as it moved. I fell hundreds of times, injuring myself; but I never gave up.
Initially my cousins helped me balance it. thus slowly, gradually I learnt to maintain balance. Finally I succeeded in riding it. I was greatly thrilled to have ridden it without falling.

I remember that I faced a lot of difficulties in learning swimming. The Yamuna River flows near to my village and I had the fear of swimming. But the children of my age often went there to enjoy and play in the water. I too wanted to enjoy but was always taken aback due to my deep seated fears. However, one day I decided to go in the river in the presence of my uncle. He held me with his hands and I gave my first attempt in shallow waters. Slowly I started to move my hands and legs and gradually began to float in water. I repeated it again and again and within some days of rigorous practice, I gained a lot of confidence. Eventually, I overcame my fears and learned to swim confidently.

- The poet talks of the need for silence and quiet introspection and the value of calmness and quietude. He also speaks about creating a sense of shared understanding between men. By this there will be an end to all forms of conflicts. Keeping quiet will help us introspect, reflect and experience silence and peace. This will in turn assist us in finding solutions to our problems
- During these few moments of quietness and introspection all people would be unified and in harmony with nature and each other. This oneness and togetherness is desirable and essential for the Earth's survival and of human beings as well. When the people are silent for a moment, they remember their life's meaning. Even like all natural things experience a rebirth with the transition of time, so keeping quiet is a rebirth of the human soul. This gives our lives a new meaning.
- The poet wishes us to be still, to cease our confused and hurried movements and try to be calm for a change instead of being restless all the time. The poet suggests that there is life in nature under apparent stillness via the example where The Earth teaches us in what way new life evolves from the dead remains. It gives us lessons about resurrecting and sustaining life.

A convex lens is a lens with an outward curve. Unlike the concave lens, the thickness at the centre of a convex lens is more than the thickness at the edges of the lens. Convex lenses are converging lenses. They have the ability to converge a parallel beam of light into a point. This point is called the focal point of the convex lens and the distance from the optical centre to the focal point is called the focal length. The focal point is on the opposite side of the lens from which the light rays originate.

In the given figure, O is the centre of a circle and ∠BOD =150°. Find the values of x and y.
Answer:
It is given that O is the centre of a circle and ∠BOD =150o
We know that
Reflex ∠BOD = (360o – ∠BOD)
By substituting the values
Reflex ∠BOD = (360o – 150o)
By subtraction
Reflex ∠BOD = 210o
Consider x = ½ (reflex ∠BOD)
By substituting the value
x = 210/2
So we get
x = 105o
We know that
x + y = 180o
By substituting the values
105o + y = 180o
On further calculation
y = 180o – 105o
By subtraction
y = 75o
Therefore, the value of x is 105o and y is 75o.
