We know that, Three lines are said to be concurrent, if they pass through a common point which also means that the point of intersection of any two lines always lies on the third line.
Now, the three given equations of line are:
2x + y − 3 = 0 ... (1)
5x + ky − 3 = 0 ... (2)
and 3x − y − 2 = 0 ... (3)
Firstly, we will solve the equations (1) and (3) and find out the value of x and y. The corresponding value of x and y will also satisfy the equation (2) as all the given lines are concurrent.
Therefore, on adding (1) and (3), we get
2x + y − 3 + 3x − y − 2 = 0
⇒ 5x - 5 = 0
⇒ x = 1
On putting value of x in (1), we get
2(1) + y − 3 =0
⇒ y - 1 = 0
⇒ y = 1
So, the point of intersection of two lines is (1, 1).
Now, this point will also satisfy the equation (2).
Therefore, on putting (x, y) = (1, 1) in (2), we get
5(1) + k(1) − 3 = 0
⇒ k + 2 = 0
⇒ k = - 2

Given , a circle with centre O and radius 8 cm. An external point P from where a tangent is drawn to meet the circle at T.
as OP = 10 cm ; radius OT = 8 cm As OT⊥PT = 8 cm
In right ΔOTP, we have
OP2=OT2+PT2
102=82+PT2
PT2=100−64=36
So, PT = 6
Therefore , length of tangent = 6 cm

(a) Fragmentation is defined as the process of breaking up of body on maturation into two or more smaller pieces. Each piece of the body results in development of new individuals. The multicellular organism which reproduces by fragmentation is spirogyra.
(b) Regeneration is defined as the process of growing a full organism from its body part. The examples of regeneration are: Hydra and Planaria. When the body of Planaria is cut into number of pieces, the each and every body piece can regenerate and results in formation of a complete Planaria. The regeneration of an organism occurs by the process of growth and development The cells of body part which has been cut down gets divides and makes a ball of cells. These multiple cells result in formation of tissues and forms organs again and results in regeneration of another Planaria. It can be explained with the help of the following diagram:
