Modification in the course of Informatics Practices

New Assessment Scheme in CBSE Schools

Under Under the new system, students will be evaluated through formative and summative assessments throughout the academic year that will be divided into two terms. While formative assessment includes continuous evaluation throughout the year, summative assessment will require students to appear for exams at the end of each term.

New CBSE Sample Papers for 2010 Examination

CBSE, New Delhi has made changes to the syllabus of some subjects in class 10 and class 12. New Sample Papers for March 2010 Examination have been issued by CBSE for these subjects. These CBSE Sample Papers can be accessed at CBSE official website or http://mycbseguide.com

In class 10 CBSE issued new sample papers for Science, Social Science and German Language whereas Sample Papers for Mathematics has no changes. It is same as issued for 2009 examination.

CBSE Social Science class 10 Design of Question Paper

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi has made some changes to the class 10 Social Science Question Paper for March 2010 examination. The Latest Design of Question Paper along with the unit wise distribution of marks and number of questions have been given here. There will be total 29 questions in the paper from 2010 onwards. Students are advised to go through the sample papers and marking scheme for details. The changes made in the question paper may also be accessed at CBSE official site.

CBSE class 10 Result on 26 May and May 29 2009

Class 10 result for other regions is coming on 29 May 2009. CBSE class 10 result is being announced after 4 days of declaration of class 12 result in all regions. Class 12 result was declared on 20 and 22May 2009.

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi i.e. CBSE has announced result declaration date for class 10. The result for CBSE class 10 for Chennai, Ajmer and Panchkula regions will be announced on May 26, 2009 at 10:00 Hrs.

CBSE Compartment Examination Dates 2009

CBSE Compartment Result for all Regions is Declared.

You can get the result at www.cbseresults.nic.in

Unsuccessful students will be given another chance to appear in Compartmental Examination.

The First chance compartmental examination will commence on 18th  July, 2009. Candidates will route their requests through the Head of institution. The Heads of Institutions will ensure that the list of compartmental candidates reaches the respective regional office by 23rd of June, 2009.

Glimpses of CBSE class 12 Result 2009

A detailed analysis of CBSE result 2009 for class 12 has been made available at CBSE official website. As per the site total 637976 students were registered for class 12 examinations 2009 and out of that 627022 appeared in the examination. Only 576 students for Tibetans schools appeared in the exam out or 599 registered.

Total 77.40 boys and 85.94 girls passed the class 12 CBSE exam in 2009. It was 77.59 and 85.41 respectively in 2008 examination.

Highlights of CBSE 2009 Examinations

To strengthen the importance of ‘Hands On’ experience in realizing the concepts and construction of knowledge, the practical – skill based multiple choice question paper for Board’s class X Examination were based on list of experiments included in class X as well as class IX syllabus.

Equal weightage in terms of marks (10+10) was assigned to questions based on class IX experiments and class X experiments. Accordingly, the publication on assessments of practical skills in science was revised and made available to schools.

For the 12th year the second phase of CBSE counseling has been launched from 20th May upto 3rd June 2009, through TELE HELPLINE, IVRS AND CBSE WEBSITE. Psychological help is provided to the students during this time to cope with post result situations successfully.

Tele-Helpline: As many as 37 principals, trained counselors from CBSE affiliated govt. and private schools, psychologists and social scientists will operate this telephonic helpline individually from 8 AM-8 PM in four time slots.

Verification of Marks for CBSE 2009 Examination

Facility of verification of marks is available to all candidates. The candidates can apply for verification of marks in a manner that their applications reach the respective regional office(s) within 21 days of the declaration of result in case of Main Exam i.e. Exam held in March/April. However for Comptt Exam, i.e. Exam held in  July, the application must reach respective regional offices with in 15 days of the declaration of the result.

CBSE Exam Results 2009 by IVRS and SMS

The Result for CBSE Chennai, Ajmer and Panchkula regions is scheduled to be declared on May 20, 2009. This year CBSE has changed the time of declaration of the board results. The Result will be declared at 10:00 a.m. in the morning over internet as well as in the schools.

The results for CBSE Delhi, Guwahati and Allahabad regions is scheduled to be declared on May 22, 2009. The class 12 result for these regions will also be declared at 10:00 a.m. in the morning.
