May 20 and May 22 CBSE Class 12 Result Dates

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi has declared the result announcement date for CBSE class 12 Board result 2009. The examination was conducted all over India and abroad (affiliated schools) in March-April 2009.

The Result for CBSE Chennai, Ajmer and Panchkula regions is scheduled to be declared on May 20, 2009. This year CBSE has changed the time of declaration of the board results. The Result will be declared at 10:00 a.m. in the morning over internet as well as in the schools.

CBSE Results for class 12 Board examinations held in the month of March-April 2009 are about to be announced. The results for all CBSE affiliated schools in India and abroad will be declared in May 2009.

Course Curriculum and Evaluation Scheme of Introductory Information Technology

The course curriculum on “Introductory Information Technology” at Secondary Level is the Foundation course for all other courses relating to Computer Science/Multimedia and Web Technology/Informatics Practices/Information Technology Applications in classes XI & XII.

Keeping this in view, CBSE has renamed the course curriculum “Introductory Information Technology” at Secondary Level as “Foundation of Information Technology” from the session 2009-2010 for Class IX and 2010-2011 for Class X with necessary changes in the course content of the subject.

Latest changes to CBSE syllabus Political Science class 12 for 2009

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi has made some changes to the syllabus of class 12 Political Science. These changes will be applicable from session 2008-2009. The Questions will be asked under Very Short Answer Type Questions carrying 1 marks and 2 marks, Short Answer Type Questions carrying 4 marks and long answer type questions carrying 6 marks. Requirement of 75 Percent of Attendance for CBSE Boarders

CBSE has issued a circular stating that the students who have not  completed a regular course of study and have not completed 75 percent of the attendance in Classes IX, X, XI & XII are not eligible to appear for the Board Examination of class X & XII. It has further been asserted by CBSE that shortage upto 15 percent of attendance only will be condoned by the CBSE Chairman on the recommendation of the Principal of the School.

E-learning material on Psychology for classes XI and XII

Central Board of Secondary Education has developed supplementary e-learning material on certain topics of Psychology for classes XI and XII and posted on its website http://www.cbse.nic.in  The teachers are expected to use this material in addition to the Psychology textbooks published by NCERT. The material developed is effective from the academic session 2008-09 for both the classes and the Board examination of Class XII, 2009.  It may also be further noted that Sample Question Papers in Psychology based on the syllabus for examination year 2009 have also been posted on the Board’s website.

NCERT-National Talent Search Examination ( NTSE) 2009

National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2009 by NCERT schedule has been worked out.  Students of class VIII studying in any recognized school can appear for the Stage-I (State Level) examination  which will be conducted by the respective states and Union Territories.

The stage-I exam will be held on November 15, 2008 for Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and on November 16, 2008 for all other states and Union Territories. The Stage-II exam ( National Level) will be conducted by NCERT, New Delhi on May 10, 2009 for all states and Union Territories.

KVS will Provide CBSE HOTS Question Bank Online

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is planning to provide an online database of question bank based on HOTS (higher order thinking skills) concept introduced by CBSE this year. This database is being prepared and it will be uploaded to KVS website soon.

The KV students will get an interactive platform of online testing. Students will be able to test their knowledge online, based on questions thrown up by a question bank. They will get the response instantly through a report which will be generated after completion of the test.
