Let the radius of base of hemisphere and cone, each be r cm. Let the height of the cone be h cm.
Volume of the cone = {tex}{1\over3}\pi r^2{/tex} hcm3
Volume of the hemisphere = {tex}{2\over3}\pi{/tex}r3 cm3
According to the question, {tex}{1\over3}\pi r^2h={2\over3}\pi r^3{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} h = 2r
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} Height of the cone = 2r cm.
Height of the hemisphere = r cm
{tex}\therefore{/tex} Ratio of their heights = 2r : r = 2 : 1

Decantation is a process of separation of insoluble solids from liquids. A suspension of solid particles in liquid is allowed to stand for sometime. Solid particles settle down at the bottom, due to their weight. This is called sedimentation. The clean water is transferred into another beaker, without disturbing the settled particles. This type of separation is called decantation.

When potassium chlorate is heated, then following reaction takes place:
2KClO3 {tex}\rightarrow{/tex} 2KCl + 3O2
Molecular mass of 1mol KClO3 = 39 + 35.5 + 3 {tex}\times{/tex}16= 122.5 g
Molecular mass of 2 mols of KClO3 = 2{tex}\times{/tex}122.5 g =245 g
Volume occupied by 3 mol of oxygen = 3{tex}\times{/tex}22.4L = 67.5 L
Therefore, 67.2L of oxygen is produced from 245g of KClO3
2.24L of oxygen is produced from = {tex}\frac { 245 } { 67.2 } \times 2.24{/tex}= 8.17g of KClO3
