The plight of farmers in rural India is very pathetic because there is lack of means of transportation, finance, irrigation and employment. Income and employment can be increased by improvement in:- a. Irrigation Facilities - If the facilities of irrigation facilities are given to the farmers they would be able to harvest a second crop during the rabi crop season in addition to the kharif crop season. b. Financial Stability - If an investment is made in the advancement of infrastructure transportation facilities will improve as the farmers will be able to sell their products in foreign markets also. c. Interest Rate Of Moneylenders - The dominance of moneylenders who charge a high interest rate is a critical problem in the agricultural sector. If the banks provide farmers loan, then the farmers can meet their financial requirements and cannot be overburdened with the financial pressure on them.
