If I had been an advisor to the department of agriculture practice I would suggest the farmer to use the manual control of weeds(biological) if the flowers had not produced seed because if weeds were removed manually after bearing flowers the the seeds dispersed would cause the weeds to grow again and if the flowers are produced then chemical treatment would be advised eg. 2,4-D The chemical treatment should be used by precautions by covering the face as if it affects the respiratory health of farmers.
