Distance covered by the satellite in 24 hours
s=2πr
=2×3.14×42250=265464.58 km
Therefore speed of satellite,
v = distance travelled/ time taken = 265464.58/ (24×60×60) =3.07 km /s

The diameter measures the circle at its largest point across. Another definition that is related to the diameter is the radius. It is the measurement from the center of the circle to its edge. Diameter is defined as the length of a straight line through the center of a circle. An example of a diameter is the length of a line sliced down the center of a pie. There are two common abbreviations of diameter: dia. and diam. If you want to make either of these plural, simply add on an “s.”
