Nationalism refers to the feeling of oneness and common

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago (2577571)

Nationalism refers to the feeling of oneness and common consciousness that emerges when people living in a common territory share the same historical, political and cultural backgrounds. People may be speaking different languages (as in case of India) but the love for their nation keeps them together.

Climate refers to the sum total of weather conditions and variations over a large area for a long period of time (more than thirty years).

Weather refers to the state of the atmosphere over an area at any point of time.

The elements of weather and climate are the same, i.e. temperature, atmospheric pressure, wind, humidity and precipitation. On the basis of the monthly atmospheric conditions, the year is divided into seasons such as:

  • Winter
  • Summer
  • Rainy Seasons

Climatic Controls

The climate of any place depends on the following factors:

1) Latitude

The amount of solar energy received varies according to latitude due to the curvature of the earth. That’s why air temperature generally decreases from the equator towards the poles.

2) Altitude

The atmosphere becomes less dense and temperature decreases when we go to the higher altitude from the earth surface. This is the reason why hills are cooler during summers.

3) Pressure and wind system

The pressure and wind system of any area depends on the latitude and altitude of the place. It influences the temperature and rainfall pattern.

4) Distance from the sea

The sea exerts a moderating influence on the climate. As the distance from the sea increases, its moderating influence decreases and people experience extreme weather conditions. This condition is known as continentality i.e. very hot during summers and very cold during winters.

5) Ocean currents

Ocean currents along with onshore winds affect the climate of the coastal areas. For example, any coastal area with warm or cold currents flowing past it, will be warmed or cooled if the winds are onshore.

6) Relief features

Relief plays a major role in determining the climate of a place. High mountains act as barriers for cold or hot winds. They may also cause precipitation if they are high enough and lie in the path of rain-bearing winds. Precipitation is any form of moisture which falls to the earth. It includes rain, snow, hail and sleet.

The group 16 elements of modern periodic table consist of 5 elements oxygen, sulphur, selenium, tellurium and polonium. The elements in this group are also known as the chalcogens or the ore-forming elements because many elements can be extracted from the sulphide or oxide ores. The group VIA elements are called chalcogens because most ores of copper (Greek chalkos) are oxides or sulfides, and such ores contain traces of selenium and tellurium.

Yes, Evans was much smarter than the prison authorities and a person with different qualities. The person(McLeery) who comes in the beginning of the test was one of the Evans' accomplice. Everything he wore was double, he also had a rubber tube which consists of the pig's blood which made Evans his masterstroke to escape from prison. Later, Evans himself played McLeery and escaped from the prison along with detective Carter befooling the authorities.

Hlo How's it

Dipti Singh 5 years, 3 months ago (5124404)

The statement is truly justified in the story "Evans tries an O-level". It was the negligence of government officials who made Evans successful in his each step for escaping from the prison. The governor of the prison makes a mistake again and again by not checking the identities, papers or documents of the persons who came to teach Evans, who came as McLeery and the two persons who came to take Evans back to the prison. Evans knew that the Governor won't check the identities of the people and therefore every time the actual officials were replaced by Evans' accomplice. Consequently, it helped Evans to escape from the prison for the fourth time.

This miniature has been painted very beautifully in Mughal style by Ramdas in 1590 AD. The theme of this painting is based on an episode of Akbar Nama. It was on the occasion on birth of Prince Salim the whole people of Fatehpur Sikri and courtiers played music and celebrating the occasion. Some of them playing drum, clarinet and other instruments. Some royal officials distributing bounty to the people of Fatehpur Sikri. It is a typical example of the later manner of Emperor’s court artists. The birth scene of the son of Akbar and heir on August 31st, 1569, forms the subject of the upper compartment into which the picture is divided, the other two being filled with musicians and servants, with the surging excited crowd outside. Beyond is a rocky landscape. The painting is a good example of the bustling movement and stress which Akbar’s painters often introduced into their work. Among other points of interest in the painting is that the upper portion is the typical bird’s eye view while for the lower panel the artist (Ramdas) is on a level with the scene depicted. The strong colour contrasts, and the marked European influence, especially in the scenery and apparel, are especially evident in this painting.

The work done by a constant force of magnitude F on a point that moves a displacement d in the direction of the force is the product: W = Fd. Integration approach can be used both to calculate work done by a variable force and work done by a constant force. Aside from using the equation, another way to figure out the work being done is to use a force-distance graph. Since work is force multiplied by distance, that means that the area under the force-distance graph gives you the work done. If the force is constant, this means just finding the area of a rectangle.
