On 13th April 1919, the infamous Jallianwala Bagh incident took place at Amritsar, Punjab. Some people had come to protest against the new repressive , measures taken by the govt. and others had come to attend the annual Baisakhi fair. At that point in time, martial law at been imposed on the Indians and many of them who gathered at Jallianwala Bagh were from outside the city and thus not aware of the martial law that was imposed, where more than two people were not allowed to gather. General Dyer came there, blocked the exit points, and fired upon people killing hundreds and thousands of them. this was one of the brutal incidents that happened in Indian history. later news spread to the diff parts of the country and people went on streets in the north Indian towns. they were strikes, clashes with the police, and attack on police stations. Later again the govt used repressive measures on the Indians like satyagrahis were forced to rub their noses on the ground, crawl on the streets, and salute the British officials. People were flogged and villages were burnt.

The reaction of aldehydes and ketones with ammonia or 1º-amines forms imine derivatives, also known as Schiff bases (compounds having a C=N function). Water is eliminated in the reaction, which is acid-catalyzed and reversible in the same sense as acetal formation. Two of the more important derivatives of ammonia are hydrazine and hydroxylamine. In strongly acidic medium ammonia derivatives being basic will react with acids and will not react with carbonyl compound. In basic medium, OH will attack carbonyl group. Hence pH of a reaction should be carefully controlled.

In spite of having same level of doping the conductivity of an n-type semiconductor is greater than p-type semiconductor because the charge carrier of a n-type semiconductor is electron which is faster to move than the hole which is the charge carrier of a p-type semiconductor. In other words electrons are more mobile than the holes which makes conduction in n-type semiconductor faster.

The conductivity of n-type semiconductor is greater than that of the p-type semiconductor because mobility of electrons is greater than that of holes.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

The movement of organisms in large numbers from one place to another place is termed as migration. There are many reasons for migration. The term migration is mainly used to define regular and periodic movements of the population away from or back to their place of origin. These migrations are of various types. Some may span for an entire lifetime and it happens to be a single migration of an individual. This is in the case for the Pacific salmon. On another hand, an individual may migrate frequently, like many of the migratory birds and other mammals.

Kerala has a better Human Development Index ranking in comparison to Punjab even though Punjab has a higher per capita income in comparison to Kerala because of the following reasons. Education: Kerala has a higher level of literacy rate than Punjab. In fact the literacy rate of Kerala is the highest in India. In Kerala the literacy rate is ninety-one per cent which is almost as high as that of China. This is mainly because education has been made available to everyone in Kerala whether they are upper caste or the lower caste. There is no bias in the field of education which is one of the major reasons why Kerala has a better HDI than Punjab. Health care: The health care facilities in Kerala are far better than those in Punjab. Kerala has over 2700 government medical hospitals with 330 beds per 1 00 000 population which is the highest in India making it achieve a higher ranking in the HDI. Politics: The political parties in Kerala have taken steps for genuine welfare of the people and have invested intelligently and methodologically in the field of health and education. The government of Kerala has even worked for the land reforms in the State to support the people.

Albert Einstein showed the sparks of genius even at a young age. His miserable years at school revealed how a talented creative mind feels trapped and cloistered in the rigid system of education. The classroom had no place for individual aspirations brilliance or aptitude. It discouraged Albert’s genius and originality. Albert’s defiance is misunderstood by his teacher’s. His “unthinking honesty” is seen as a refusal to confirm to the education and not the learning of facts. His maths teacher had a high opinion of him. He said. “I can’t teach you more and probably you’ll soon be able to teach me’. Albert was humble and unassuming and he was uncomfortable with the excessive praise. The teacher seems to recognize Albert’s rare intellectual genius and his aptitude for maths. Albert has an enquiring mind and a curious nature. He had a thirst for information and he liked to study books on science. He loved music and played his violin regularly. Albert had a frank and honest temperament and was quite sensitive and emotional. He was considered a rebel by most of his teachers. He did not compromise and adjust to the system of education which encouraged learning without understanding. For him, ideas and enquiry were more important than facts or dates. He was expelled from school for his views which did not match the existing pattern.

The poet says that men from other countries have the same requirements as his own countrymen by saying that they enjoy the same sunlight, breathe the same air and drink the same water. Not only this, they also work hard to earn a living. They too eat when their harvest is plentiful during times of peace and starve during war.

Angel Bansal 5 years, 1 month ago (9054213)

The poet James Kirkup proves that there are no foreign  countries by saying that war amongst countries is pointless because men form varied nations are not different from each other. ... Therefore, the poet says all men are same and so are all countries, no one is foreign.

The indirect sources of information of the interior are :

(i)Density - The density of the sedimentary rocks is 2.7 and beneath the sedimentary rocks the density of igneous rocks is 3.5. This means that the density inside the earth is much higher. It is estimated that the core of the earth has the density of 11 to 12.

(ii)Temperature - There is a gradual increase in the temperature as depth increases. The rate of increase is 12°C per km at a depth of 100km. It is 2°C/km at a depth of 300 km and 1°C per km, below it.

(iii)Pressure- Like density and temperature, pressure also increases with the increase in depth inside the earth. It is due to overlying layers or depressions of the heavier material. It is estimated that the pressure at the centre of the earth is about 3500 kilobars.

(iv)The other indirect sources include gravitational magnetic field and the seismic activity. The gravitational force is greater near the poles and lesser at the equator.

(v)The gravity values also differ according to the mass of the material. Uneven distribution of the mass of material within the earth influences this value.
