Polynomial Rules: What Defines Polynomials?

Polynomial Rules
What are the rules for polynomials? The short answer is that polynomials cannot contain the following: division by a variable, negative exponents, fractional exponents, or radicals.
<aside> </aside>What is a polynomial?
A polynomial is an expression containing two or more algebraic terms. They are often the sum of several terms containing different powers (exponents) of variables.
There are some pretty cool things about polynomials. For example, if you add or subtract polynomials, you get another polynomial. If you multiply them, you get another polynomial.
Polynomials often represent a function. And if you graph a polynomial of a single variable, you'll get a nice, smooth, curvy line with continuity (no holes.)
What does 'polynomial' mean?
The "poly" in polynomial comes from Greek and means "multiple." "Nomial", also Greek, refers to terms, so polynomial means "multiple terms."

What Makes Up Polynomials
A polynomial is an algebraic expression made up of two or more terms. Polynomials are composed of some or all of the following:
- Variables - these are letters like x, y, and b
- Constants - these are numbers like 3, 5, 11. They are sometimes attached to variables, but can also be found on their own.
- Exponents - exponents are usually attached to variables, but can also be found with a constant. Examples of exponents include the 2 in 5² or the 3 in x³.
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - For example, you can have 2x (multiplication), 2x+5 (multiplication and addition), and x-7 (subtract.)
Rules: What ISN'T a Polynomial
There are a few rules as to what polynomials cannot contain:
Polynomials cannot contain division by a variable.
For example, 2y2+7x/4 is a polynomial, because 4 is not a variable. However, 2y2+7x/(1+x) is not a polynomial as it contains division by a variable.
Polynomials cannot contain negative exponents.
You cannot have 2y-2+7x-4. Negative exponents are a form of division by a variable (to make the negative exponent positive, you have to divide.) For example, x-3 is the same thing as 1/x3.
Polynomials cannot contain fractional exponents.
Terms containing fractional exponents (such as 3x+2y1/2-1) are not considered polynomials.
Polynomials cannot contain radicals.
For example, 2y2 +√3x + 4 is not a polynomial

Question 1.
The unsanitary conditions in your colony are causing multiple diseases. Write a letter to the Municipal Commissioner bringing the problem to his notice and request him to take urgent action in the matter. You are Deepak/Deepa of C 2/8, Ankur Enclave, New Delhi.
Answer:
C 2/8, Ankur Enclave
New Delhi
20 August 20XX
The Municipal Commissioner
Shahdara
Delhi 1100XX
Dear Sir
Subject: Insanitary conditions in the colony
I have been a resident of Ankur Enclave for the past eleven years. I would like to bring to your notice the insanitary conditions in our colony. Rubbish and garbage lie in heaps. Lack of drainage system raises a persistent foul smell in the area.
During rainy season water stagnates in pits on the street which makes the whole condition even worse. These become the breeding ground for mosquitoes, which expose the residents to multiple diseases like dengue, malaria, etc. Our colony has become an unhealthy and disease–prone area. Every day, someone or the other is succumbing to deadly diseases. Some of the families have also shifted lock, stock, and barrel to better localities.
You are requested to take an immediate remedial action to set things right.
Thanking you
Yours faithfully
Deepa

When Starbucks was getting started way back in 1971, they wanted to capture the seafaring history of coffee and Seattle’s strong seaport roots. They took their time did a lot research poring over old marine books. They eventually came across a 16th century Norse woodcut of a twin-tailed mermaid, or Siren. The seductive mystery mixed with a nautical theme that was exactly what the founders were looking for. A logo was designed around her, and our long relationship with the Siren began.

The piano.
I love music, and the piano keys I touched for the first time to create that beautiful simple melody opened the doors for me.
The piano not only allows you to create any kind of melody you want, it creates a sound that sounds very pleasant, soft and gentle. However, you can play the piano to let out your frustrations in a thunder of harmonies as well.

A rational number, in Mathematics, can be defined as any number which can be represented in the form of p/q where q ≠ 0. Also, we can say that any fraction fits under the category of rational numbers, where the denominator and numerator are integers and the denominator is not equal to zero. When the rational number (i.e., fraction) is divided, the result will be in decimal form, which may be either terminating decimal or the repeating decimal.

If all the depositors would go to banks and withdraw their money at the same time, then there will be a huge cash crisis in the banks as they will run our of money. They will not be able to give loan to markets and several companies. There will be no daily transaction in banks, so footfall will be nil. No loans can then be given as crop loans also so this will affect the agricultural produce for the impending season. Bank cash reserve ratio will also decrease drastically. It will lead to a complete collapse of the financial system.

Dmitri Ivanovich Mendeleev, a Russian scientist arranged the elements in increasing order of their relative atomic masses. He was honoured with Noble prize in 1906 for his Periodic Table.
Mendeleev’s Periodic Law states that the properties of elements are the periodic function of their relative atomic masses.
Mendeleev arranged all 63 elements; which were discovered till his time; in the order of their increasing relative atomic masses in a tabular form. It is known as Mendeleev’s Periodic Table. He divided the table in eight columns and seven rows. The columns are known as groups and rows are known as periods.

In the year 1864, the British chemist John Newlands attempted the 62 elements known at that time. He arranged them in an ascending order based on their atomic masses and observed that every 8th element had similar properties. On the basis of this observation, Newland’s law of octaves was formulated.
The law of octaves states that every eighth element has similar properties when the elements are arranged in the increasing order of their atomic masses.
Newlands compared the similarity between the elements to the octaves of music, where every eighth note is comparable to the first. This was the first attempt at assigning an atomic<a href="https://byjus.com/chemistry/atomic-number-mass-number/"> </a>number to each element. However, this method of classifying elements was met with a lot of resistance in the scientific community

Health is an important component of population composition because it affects the process of development. Although the health conditions of the Indian population have improved a lot due to the sustained efforts of government programmes, more and more efforts are still needed in this regard in order to get the optimum results. The reasons behind this are given below:
(i) The per capita calorie consumption is much below the recommended levels and malnutrition affects a large percentage of our population.
(ii) Safe drinking water and basic sanitation amenities are available to only one-third of the rural population.
Unless these problems are tackled properly, health condition of the Indian population can't reach up to the desired level.
