Manual scavenging, banned through different legislations still prevailed in India due to 'weak legal protection and lack of enforcement' of the rules,
Explanation:
- Inherently woven into the caste system in India is the profession of sanitation work: the Dalits work primarily as sanitary labours as cleaners of drains, manual scavengers, garbage collectors & road sweepers.
- The India govt recognised "manual scavenging" for the 1st time in 2013 as an illegal crime, "punishable" by up to "2 years" in prison. The Act aims to strengthen this ban by banning all manual scavenging and ensures that a compulsory survey identifies the rehabilitation of manual scavengers. Nonetheless, there have been reportedly no convictions under the legislation.
- In the year 2014, after the reinforcement of ban manual scavenging was still prevalent in the states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, & Rajasthan.

(a) Preparation of soil: Soil is prepared before sowing the seeds. The soil is loosened to increase the absorption of water and manures. Loosening of soil particles adds humus and nutrients in the soil that increases crop yields. Tilling or loosening the soil is done by ploughs which are pulled by a pair of bulls. Tractor driven cultivators are also used to loosen the soil.
(b) Sowing: After preparation of soil it is ready for sowing of seeds. The healthy and clean seeds should be selected. The sowing is done by seed drills or funnel shaped tools. Seed drills are the modern instruments which sow the seeds at proper depth and proper distance.
(c) Weeding: The unwanted plants in the crops are called weeds. These weeds absorb the nutrients from the soil. So it is necessary to remove them. Weeds are either removed manually or by mechanical tools. The process of removal of weeds is called weeding. Some chemicals like 2, 4-D are also used to kill the weeds.
(d) Threshing: Separation of grains from the chaff is called threshing. When the crop is harvested, it is cut along with the stalks. They are then separated and the grains are removed. Winnowing machine is used to separate grains from chaff.

दांडी मार्च जो गांधीजी और उनके स्वयं सेवकों द्वारा 12 मार्च, 1930 ई. को प्रारम्भ की गई थी। इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य था अंग्रेजों द्वारा बनाए गए ‘नमक कानून को तोड़ना’। गांधीजी ने साबरमती में अपने आश्रम से समुद्र की ओर चलना शुरू किया। इस आंदोलन की शुरुआत में 78 सत्याग्रहियों के साथ दांडी कूच के लिए निकले बापू के साथ दांडी पहुंचते-पहुंचते पूरा आवाम जुट गया था।
लगभग 25 दिन बाद 6 अप्रैल, 1930 ई. को दांडी पहुंचकर उन्होंने समुद्रतट पर नमक कानून तोड़ा। महात्मा गांधी ने दांडी यात्रा के दौरान सूरत, डिंडौरी, वांज, धमन के बाद नवसारी को यात्रा के आखिरी दिनों में अपना पड़ाव बनाया था। यहां से कराडी और दांडी की यात्रा पूरी की थी। नवसारी से दांडी का फासला लभभग 13 मील का है।
यह वह दौर था जब ब्रितानिया हुकूमत का चाय, कपड़ा और यहां तक कि नमक जैसी चीजों पर सरकार का एकाधिकार था। ब्रिटिश राज के समय भारतीयों को नमक बनाने का अधिकार नहीं था, बल्कि उन्हें इंग्लैंड से आने वाले नमक के लिए कई गुना ज्यादा पैसे देने होते थे। दांडी मार्च के बाद आने वाले महीनों में 80,000 भारतीयों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। इससे एक चिंगारी भड़की जो आगे चलकर ‘सविनय अवज्ञा आंदोलन’ में बदल गई।

In rotation the body's centre of mass does not undergo any translation motion. In other words the centre of mass will remain at on place. Like a top spinning on its axis.
In circular motion the body's centre of mass goes around a fixed centre maintaining a constant distance from it. Which means the centre of mass is actually going through a translation motion. For example an ant sitting on the circumference of the spinning top in the above example.
