There are three states of matter – solid, liquid and gas.
Solid: Matters which have fixed volume and shape are called solids. For example - stone, wood, brick, ice, sugar, salt, coal, etc. All metals are solid except mercury and gallium.
Liquid: Matters which have fixed volume but indefinite shape are called liquids. For example - milk, water, petrol, kerosene, alcohol, oil, etc. Since liquid can flow, it is also called fluid.
Gas: Matters which have indefinite shape and volume are called gases. For example - air, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon-dioxide, etc.

HORIZONTAL DIVISION OF POWER
(i) Horizontal Division of powers is such a power sharing arrangement in which power is shared , among different organs of government as, legislature, executive and judiciary.
(ii) In horizontal division of powers, different organs of government exercise different powers, i.e., there is a concept of separation of powers.
(iii) Horizontal distribution specifies the concept of checks and balances in order to check the exercises of unlimited powers of the organs.
(iv) Horizontal distribution of power ensures the concept of the expansion of democracy.
VERTACAL DIVISION OF POWER
(i) In Vertical Division of powers, power can be shared among governments at different levels like union, state and local levels of such government, i.e., it involves higher and lower levels of government.
(ii) Whereas, in vertical division of powers, constitution clearly lays down the powers of different levels of government.
(iii) But, there is no such concept of checks and balances in the vertical Division because powers are clearly given by the constitution from the higher level to the lower level.
(iv) Vertical division of powers promotes the concept of deepening of democracy.

In Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, different views of a slide are used to edit, print and deliver a presentation. PowerPoint slide views can be found in two places as follows:
- On the View tab, in the Presentation Views group, where all views are available.
- On an easy-accessible bar, at the bottom of the PowerPoint window, where the main views (Normal, Slide Sorter and Slide Show) are available. Different types of views available in PowerPoint 2007 are explained below:
- Normal View: This is the main editing view, where you write and design your presentations, i.e. actual screen which is displayed. The view is also known as Slide view. A Normal view is the default view size for the screen.
- Slide Sorter View: It provides a view of slides in thumbnail form. This view makes it easy to sort and organize the sequence of the slides at the time of creating presentation and also, at the time of preparing presentation for printing.
- Notes Page View: In the Notes Page view, the notes pane is located just below the slide pane. Here, notes that apply to the current slide can be typed. Later, these notes can be printed and referred while giving actual presentation. Notes can also be printed to handout to the audience or included in a presentation that is delivered to the audience or posted on a Web page.
- Slide Show View: This is used to deliver a presentation to the audience. Slide Show view takes up the full computer screen, like an actual presentation. In this view, you can see your presentation, the way audience wants. This view enables you to see how graphics, timings, movies, animated effects and transition effects will look during the actual presentation. To exit Slide Show view, press Esc key from the keyboard.
- Master View: The Master views include Slide view, Handout view and Notes view. They are the main slides that store information about the presentation, including background color, fonts effects, placeholder sizes and positions. The key benefit to working in a Master view is that on the Slide Master, Notes Master, or Handout Master, you can make universal style changes to every slide, notes page, or handout associated with the presentation.

The Social, economic and political conditions in Russia before 1905 was backward:
Social Conditions: 85% of Russia's population was agriculturist. The industries were there, but rarely they were privately owned. Workers were divided on the basis of their occupation. They mainly migrated to cities for employment in factories. The peasant community was deeply religious but did not care much about the nobility. They believed that land must be divided amongst themselves.
Economic Condition: Russia was going through a bad period economically. Prices of essential good rise while real wages decreased by 20% leading to the famous St. Petersburg strike. This strike started a series of events that are together known as the 1905 Revolution. During this revolution, there were strikes all over the country, universities closed down, and various professionals and workers established the Union of Unions, demanding the establishment of a constituent assembly.
Political Condition: Political parties were illegal before 1914. The Russian Social Democratic Workers Party was founded in 1898 by socialists who respected Marx’s ideas. In 1903, this party was divided into two groups - Mensheviks and Bolsheviks. The Bolsheviks, who were in majority, were led by Lenin who is regarded as the greatest thinker on socialism after Marx.

Date: 3 Arne 2016
Subject: Enjoyment at adventure camp
Dear friend,
How are you? I got your mail that your family has dropped the idea for the vacation to the hill station due to illness of your brother. Do you have any new plans to spend your vacations or thinking about that? I can understand your frustration over the issue. However, I have a better idea.
I have got myself enrolled in an adventure camp and would like you too to come along. Last year, 1 had visited the same camp and had a lot of fun. We participated in the activities like trekking, rafting, rock climbing etc. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous but the team leader motivated me to carry on. These activities inculcated team spirit in me. The thrills of adventure sports will remain with me forever.
I want to feel this type of enjoyment every year so i decided to join this camp every year. Please let me know if you want to come with me. I am waiting for your reply.
Regards,
Raj
