The tectonic plates are always slowly moving, but they get stuck at their edges due to friction. When the stress on the edge overcomes the friction, there is an earthquake that releases energy in waves that travel through the earth's crust and cause the shaking that we feel.

Samar Sinha 2 years, 11 months ago (11359744)

An earthquake can occur because of 4 reasons:- i) Movement of tectonic plates. ii) Volcanic eruptions. iii) Faults of the earth's crust. iv) Underground nuclear explosions. But, most of the times, earthquake gets hitted by the movement of tectonic plates. These movements have created the weak points in the earth's crust called 𝙛𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨.

Winter is one of the most important seasons in India. It is a part of the four seasons that occur in India. Winters are the coolest season that starts from December and last till March. The peak time when winter is experienced the most in December and January. In India, winters hold great importance. In addition, the essence it has is admired by many people. Winters give you the time to indulge in various activities like snowball fighting, building snowmen, ice hockey and more. It is a great time for kids to enjoy their vacations and get cozy in their blankets.

Essence of Winter During winters, schools usually take a break and close down. The days are shorter and the nights get longer. The chilly mornings give you a different sense altogether. Hot drinks like coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are enjoyed more during winters. The sun rises quite late and sometimes it does not. Even when it does, it doesn’t get a bit hot. People long for a little sunshine as the cold weather sends chills down the spine. You see people on the roads burning woods and paper to get a little warmth. However, not many people prefer going out in winters. They like sitting by the fireplace or heater all day. In the hilly areas, people experience snow during winters. They have to shovel it out of the way to make way for walking. The essence of winters is enhanced by Christmas as well. It sets the holiday mood for people and is admired all over the world. But, there is also a downside of this season. The farmers, homeless people, and animals are most affected by this season. There is hardly any business in this season for farmers. Hundreds of homeless people die due to the harsh winters. As the animals do not have proper shelter, they too lose their lives. In addition, many flights are also canceled during this season. Nonetheless, this does not make winter any less important. It is quite essential to maintain balance in the weather of our country.

Water is called the "universal solvent" because it is capable of dissolving more substances than any other liquid. This is important to every living thing on earth. It means that wherever water goes, either through the air, the ground, or through our bodies, it takes along valuable chemicals, minerals, and nutrients.

The required story is found to be as: Seema was a young girl who worked as a maid at my friend's house. She was a little girl with shiny eyes like armor. One day I went to my friend, but she wasn't there, so I started talking to Seema. I asked her if she was studying for or going to any school. She told me she wanted to and was eager to go to school, but she was unable to do the same because of her family responsibilites, At the age of 18, Seema was the eldest of three children, her father died at the age of nine, and her mother was a day laborer. But her mother would not have been able to feed her three mouths as much as herself in just one day of work as a worker. So Seema dropped from her school and decided to support her family and her mother four years ago. "You can't think and study on an empty stomach", she said, a word of such wisdom on the lips of a very young girl. I knew she would take my friend's books and read them in the 15 minutes she had on her own between her jobs. I lent a hand to her as only her secondary examinations had remained. She was very enthusiastic about continuing her studies. It was proved by her soon passing her high school exam in one attempt. She called me and told that the worst thing that could happen now was that she could at least teach her own children. They would be able to somewhat study. I was happy on looking her glowing face while she was saying this.

The following evidence of burials suggest some differences in status amongst the people:

  1. In Brahmagiri, one skeleton was buried with 33 gold beads, 2 stone beads, 4 copper bangles, and one conch shell while other skeletons had only a few pots.
  2. Archaeologists found more objects in one grave than in another. Such an uneven pattern of burials suggests that there was some difference in status amongst the people who were buried.
  3. There were different burial sites for males and females. The graves of females were found with lots of jewellery than males.
  4. The skeletons of adults and children can be differentiated easily.
