“Aunt Jennifer’s Tiger” is an appropriate title in that it refers to a tapestry Aunt Jennifer has made. It contains some ferocious tigers. The title also suggests the “tiger like terror” Aunt’s husband was. She was in constant fear of him and felt trapped and suffocated in marriage. She felt that her husband was her master and she was a tame animal who must carry out his command. It is a very suggestive title, indeed.

C program to find roots of a quadratic equation: Coefficients are assumed to be integers, but roots may or may not be real.
For a quadratic equation ax2+ bx + c = 0 (a≠0), discriminant (b2-4ac) decides the nature of roots. If it's less than zero, the roots are imaginary, or if it's greater than zero, roots are real. If it's zero, the roots are equal.
For a quadratic equation sum of its roots = -b/a and product of its roots = c/a. Let's write the program now.
Roots of a Quadratic equation in C
#include <stdio.h>
#include <math.h>
int main()
{
int a, b, c, d;
double root1, root2;
printf("Enter a, b and c where a*x*x + b*x + c = 0\n");
scanf("%d%d%d", &a, &b, &c);
d = b*b - 4*a*c;
if (d < 0) { // complex roots, i is for iota (√-1, square root of -1)
printf("First root = %.2lf + i%.2lf\n", -b/(double)(2*a), sqrt(-d)/(2*a));
printf("Second root = %.2lf - i%.2lf\n", -b/(double)(2*a), sqrt(-d)/(2*a));
}
else { // real roots
root1 = (-b + sqrt(d))/(2*a);
root2 = (-b - sqrt(d))/(2*a);
printf("First root = %.2lf\n", root1);
printf("Second root = %.2lf\n", root2);
}
return 0;
}

In reality the Third Level is the creation of Charley's own mind, fantasy and whim. He is inhabiting in the modern world which is full of insecurity, fear, war, worries, stress and tension. He has to confront with them round the clock. The harsh realities of life are making our stay unpleasant and unbearable. There is a mental tension which is transforming our lives burdensome and heavy. Charley has an escapist mind. Even stamps collecting is a temporary refuge from reality. So he talks to his psychiatrist friend Sam about the third level at the Grand Central Station. He terms it as a “ waking-dream wish fulfilment.”
In this lesson even the writer Jack Finney interweaves Charley in the midst of fantasy and reality. The compulsions and realities of modern life make Charley escape into a world of fancy and romance. There is a refererence to his grand father's stamp collection of 1894 in the lesson. In those days there was peace as well as tranquility. So there was no need for escape. For Charley the Grand Central is an exit and he wanders down to the third level and finds himself into the world of 1894 which used to be a romantic living. So the Third Level is indirectly a mode of escape for Charley.

Refractive index of diamond is 2.42 and the critical angle is 24.40 only. The faces of diamond are cut in such a way that a ray of light entering the diamond suffers repeated total internal reflections (angle of incidence is greater than the critical angle) at different faces and remains confined within the diamond. Thus it sparkles.

Secession is the withdrawal of a group from a larger entity, especially a political entity, but also from any organization, union or military alliance. A secession attempt might be violent or peaceful, but the goal is the creation of a new state or entity independent from the group or territory it seceded from. Secession in India typically refers to state secession, which is the withdrawal of one or more states from the Republic of India. It was extended to most parts of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir in 1990 after the outbreak of an armed insurgency in 1989

- Nitrogen does not form pentahalides.
- The electronic configuration of nitrogen is 1s22s22p3.
- It has 5 valence electrons. In the valence shell, it has s and p orbitals. Nitrogen does not has vacant d orbitals. It cannot expand its octet. In other words, it cannot have more than 8 valence electrons. Hence, nitrogen cannot be pentavalent .

In amines, the hydrogen atoms in ammonia have been replaced one at a time by hydrocarbon groups. On this page, we are only looking at cases where the hydrocarbon groups are simple alkyl groups. The amine functional group contains a basic nitrogen atom with a lone pair of electrons. As such, the group is a derivative of ammonia, in which one or more hydrogen atoms have been replaced by a carbon-containing substituent. Amine groups bonded to an aromatic (conjugated cyclic) structure are known as aromatic amines.
