There are three modes of heat transfer.
- Conduction: Heat conduction is a process in which heat is transferred from the hotter part to the colder part in a body without involving any actual movement of the molecules of the body. Heat transfer takes place from one molecule to another molecule as a result of the vibratory motion of the molecules. Heat transfer through the process of conduction occurs in substances which are in direct contact with each other. It generally takes place in solids.
- Convection: In this process, heat is transferred in the liquid and gases from a region of higher temperature to a region of lower temperature. Convection heat transfer occurs partly due to the actual movement of molecules or due to the mass transfer. For example. Heating of milk in a pan.
- Radiation: It is the process in which heat is transferred from one body to another body without involving the molecules of the medium. Radiation heat transfer does not depend on the medium. For example: In a microwave, the substances are heated directly without any heating medium.

Let us assume that T>0∘C
Heat lost by water= heat gained by ice to melt+ heat gained by water formed from ice
⇒300×1×(50−T)=150×80+150×1×(T−0)
⇒T=6.7∘C
⇒T=6.7∘C
Hence our assumption that T>0∘C

Retention of configuration: A process in which the relative configuration of an atom is retained. If the atom in question is a stereocenter, retention of configurationusually (but not always) changes R absolute configuration into R, and S into S.
Inversion of configuration: A process in which the relative configuration of an atom is changed. If the atom in question is a stereocenter, inversion of configuration usually (but not always) changes R absolute configurationinto S, and S into R.
Racemization refers to the converting of an enantiomerically pure mixture (one where only one enantiomer is present) into a mixture where more than one of the enantiomers are present. If the racemization results in a mixture where the enantiomers are present in equal quantities

There are three major types of stress, viz. physical and environmental, psychological and social.
1. Physical and Environmental Stress:
Physical stresses are demands that change the state of our body. For example, disabilities, malnutrition, injury, etc.
Environmental stresses are aspects of our surroundings that are often unavoidable such as air-pollution, noise, crowding, heat, etc. They can also be catastrophic events or disasters such as fires, earthquakes or floods.
2. Psychological Stress Internal Sources of Stress:
(a) Frustation: Results from the blocking of needs and motives by something or someone that hinders us from achieving a desired goal. There could be a number of causes of frustration such as social discrimination, inter-personal hurt, low grades in school, etc.
(b) Conflict: It may occur between two or more incompatible needs or motives. e.g., whether to study psychology or sociology.
(c) Pressure:• Social Pressures: It may be brought about from people who make excessive demands on us. This can cause even greater pressure when we have to work with them. Also, there are people with whom we face inter-personal difficulties, e.g., ego issues.
3. Social Stress:
It is induced from external factors and results from interaction with other people. Social events like death or illness in the family, strained relationships, rapid social change, poverty, discrimination and lack of social support are examples of social stress. These social stresses vary widely from person to person. e.g., living in a colony where extremely heterogeneous socio-economic groups live together.

An LC circuit, also called a resonant circuit, tank circuit, or tuned circuit, is an electric circuit consisting of an inductor, represented by the letter L, and a capacitor, represented by the letter C, connected together. Consider a circuit with a capacitor and an inductor, energy taken from the cell and given to capacitor keeps oscillating between L & C. The oscillations between L and C are referred as LC oscillations. ... The capacitor will become fully discharged whereas inductor will be storing all the energy.
