Uses of iodoform (CHI3)
Iodoform was used earlier as an antiseptic, but now it has been replaced by other formulations-containing iodine-due to its objectionable smell. The antiseptic property of iodoform is only due to the liberation of free iodine when it comes in contact with the skin.

Disinvestment in India is a policy of the Government of India, wherein the Government liquidates its assets in the Public sector Enterprises partially or fully. The decision to disinvest is mainly to reduce the fiscal burden and bridge the revenue shortfall of the government. Allowing the private sector to pump capital into these ailing PSUs would, of course, go some way in turning around these entities even as it provides the government with funds to bankroll welfare programs. Hence, the process of disinvestment in India was started in the year 1992.

◆ Answer -
L = 7.5 cm
● Explanation -
# Given -
fo = +1.25 cm
fe = +5 cm
uo = -2.5 cm
ve = ∞
# Solution -
Applying lens formula for objective,
1/fo = 1/vo - 1/uo
1/1.25 = 1/vo - 1/-2.5
1/vo = 1/25 - 1/2.5
1/vo = 1/2.5
vo = 2.5 cm
Applying lens formula for eyepiece,
1/fe = 1/ve - 1/ue
1/5 = 1/∞ - 1/ue
1/5 = 0 - 1/ue
ue = -5 cm
Distance between the objective and eyepiece is -
L = |vo| + |ue|
L = |2.5| + |-5|
L = 2.5 + 5
L = 7.5 cm
Hence, distance between the objective and eyepiece is 7.5 cm.

Answer:
Flower which remains open and exposes the anther and stigma are called chasmogamous flowers. Cleistogamous flowers do not open at all. Because anthers and stigma are not exposed, cross pollination cannot take place in such cases.

The Slope of the Aggregate Demand Curve
We will use the implicit price deflator as our measure of the price level; the aggregate quantity of goods and services demanded is measured as real GDP. The table in <a href="https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_principles-of-economics-v2.0/s25-aggregate-demand-and-aggregate.html#rittenmacro-ch07_s01_s01_f01">Figure 22.1 "Aggregate Demand"</a> gives values for each component of aggregate demand at each price level for a hypothetical economy. Various points on the aggregate demand curve are found by adding the values of these components at different price levels. The aggregate demand curve for the data given in the table is plotted on the graph in <a href="https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_principles-of-economics-v2.0/s25-aggregate-demand-and-aggregate.html#rittenmacro-ch07_s01_s01_f01">Figure 22.1 "Aggregate Demand"</a>. At point A, at a price level of 1.18, $11,800 billion worth of goods and services will be demanded; at point C, a reduction in the price level to 1.14 increases the quantity of goods and services demanded to $12,000 billion; and at point E, at a price level of 1.10, $12,200 billion will be demanded.

Protein expression in bacteria is quite simple; DNA coding for your protein of interest is inserted into a plasmid expression vector that is then transformed into a bacterial cell. Transformed cells propagate, are induced to produce your protein of interest, and then lysed. Col plasmids: These plasmids contain genes that code for bacteriocins, proteins that can kill other bacteria. F-plasmid: Fertility F-plasmids contain tra genes and are capable of conjugation resulting in the expression of *** pilli.

An intelligence quotient (IQ) is a total score derived from a set of standardized tests or subtests designed to assess human intelligence. ... By this definition, approximately two-thirds of the population scores are between IQ 85 and IQ 115. About 2.5 percent of the population scores above 130, and 2.5 percent below 70. Approximately 95% of the population has IQ scores between 70 and 130. Approximately 99.7% of the population has IQ scores between 55 and 145. Only approximately 0.3% of the population has IQ scores outside of this interval (less than 55 or higher than 145).
