SF6 doesn't go hydrolysis but SF4 does.. becoz SF4 is sterically protected since it is surrounded by only 4 F atom. as a result, attack of H2O molecule on s atom can take place easily nd hence hydrolysis occur.

becoz in SF6, S is sterically protected by 6 F atoms nd hence doesn't allow H2O molecules to attack the S atom. further F doesn't have d orbital to accept the electron donated by H2O molecule.
