An operon required for transport and metabolism of lactose in E.coli or other bacteria is called Lactose operon

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 3 months ago

  • Lac refers to lactose in lac operon.
  • The lac operon consists of one regulatory gene the i gene which codes for the repressor of the lac operon and three structural genes (z, y, and a).
  • The z gene codes for beta-galactosidase (β-gal), which hydrolyses disaccharide, lactose into galactose and glucose.
  • The y gene codes for permease, which increases permeability of the cell to β-galactosides.
  • The a gene encodes a transacetylase.
  • Lactose is termed as inducer as lactose is the substrate for the enzyme beta-galactosidase and it regulates switching on and off of the operon.
  • In the absence of inducer
  • The repressor of the operon is synthesized (all-the-time – constitutively) from the i gene.
  • The repressor protein binds to the operator region of the operon and prevents RNA polymerase from transcribing the operon.
  • In the presence of inducer
  • The repressor is inactivated by interaction with the inducer which allows RNA polymerase access to the promoter and transcription proceeds.
  • Regulation of lac operon by repressor is referred to as negative regulation.

Tell me why you divide 72000 by 2

Harshit Mishra 6 years, 3 months ago

Application money recived per share is Rs. 2 and the total money recived is 72000 so devide 72000 by 2 i.e. 36000 therefore the shares are oversubscribed by 6000 because the company has issued only 30000 shares for subscription Now if we go further the company has two options that is i) they can reject the applications for 6000 shares or ii) they can be alloted on the pro rata bassis

Lenz's law states that the direction of induced emf is such, that it produces a current which opposes the change in magnetic flux that produced it.
Mathematically,
e = -N{tex}\frac{d\varphi}{dt}{/tex}
Suppose a magnet is moved towards a closed coil. The direction of induced emf in it by Lenz’s law opposes its inward motion. As a result, the magnet will be moved towards the coil against this opposing force. In such a case work will have to be done. This work is converted into electrical energy in the form of induced emf. Thus, Lenz’s law is in accordance with the law of conservation of energy.

K@Łp@N@ $Øđh!?? 6 years, 3 months ago

For example :- when north pole of the magnet is brought closed to the coil then the face of the coil near the magnet gets north polarity so work has to be done in moving the magnet close to the coil similarly if we move away from the magnet then the coil develops south polarity so again work has to be done against the force of attraction and this workdone appears as electric energy in the form of induced current.

K@Łp@N@ $Øđh!?? 6 years, 3 months ago

When ever the magnet is move towards or away from the closed loop the induced current always opposes tha motion of magnet.

<th scope="col">Final goods</th> <th scope="col">Intermediate goods</th>
Finals goods are those goods which are used by the consumers for final use. Intermediate goods are those goods which are not ready for final consumption and are used as raw materials
Final goods are manufactured using intermediate goods. Intermediate goods are used as raw material for further production of final goods.
They are finished goods.  They are unfinished goods. These goods are not meant for sale.
Value is calculated for GDP. Not calculated, as the value of final goods included the value of intermediate goods
e.g. Sugar, salt, biscuits purchased by consumer for final consumption are final goods. e.g. flour, milk and sugar are intermediate goods used in making biscuits.
