Masti blames the local cartographer for not including Hosahalli in India’s map. He equals Mysore and India on one hand and Karigadabu and its filling on the other. He says that  Karigadabu is not possible without its coconut-sugar filling. Similarly, Hosahalli is as much important a place in Mysore State as a filling serves Karigadabu.

Newly discovered plant can be identified with the help of taxonomic keys, herbaria, monographs and preserved plant specimen. The scientist has to study the morphological and anatomical characters of the plants/plant parts, compare the characteristic features with the similar information available in the scientific literature and after that he can decide the exact systematic position of the plant, name it according to the rules of binomial nomenclature and fix it's systemic position.

Living

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

Human being is the only organism who is aware of himself, i.e. has self-consciousness. We sense our environment through our sense organs (like ear, nose, eye, etc.). When it comes to human beings, it is all the more difficult to define the living state. We observe patients lying in coma in hospitals virtually supported by machines which replace heart and lungs. The patient is otherwise brain- dead. The patient has no self-consciousness. So on this basis the person is considered as dead, but there are thousands of metabolic reactions occurring in the body, hence on the basis of metabolism the person is considered as living. So we can say that the person that lying in coma is neither living nor dead.

Monograph is that means of recording descriptions which contain the information of only one taxon.

In biological taxonomy a monograph is a comprehensive treatment of a taxon. Lewis suggested that a chemical bond involved sharing of electrons. He described what he called the cubical atom, because a cube has 8corners , to represent the outer valence shell electrons which can be shared to create a bond . This is his octet rule

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

The representation of molecules in Lewis electron dot structure or just a Lewis structure is in honor of the American chemist Gilbert Newton Lewis.

Lewis dot structures also called electron dot structures are diagrams that describe the chemical bonding between atoms in a molecule. They also display the total number of lone pairs present in each of the atoms that constitute the molecule. Lewis dot structures are commonly referred to as electron dot structures or Lewis structures. Lewis defined a base as an electron pair donor and an acid as an electron pair acceptor.

MOLAR MASS

MOLECULAR MASS

Refers to mass of a mole of a substance

Refers to the mass of molecules

Also known as molecular weight

It determines the mass of single molecule

SI unit is g/mol to use in higher calculations

Measured in amu

It is defined as the mass of Avogadro number of atoms/molecules or compounds

No particular melting point

Measurement given to compounds, atoms or molecules

Determined only in molecules

Less accurate than molecular mass

Accurate to use in higher calculations

Example: Mass of 1 mole of oxygen is 15.9994 grams. Therefore the molar mass = 15.9994 g/mol

Example:

Molecular mass of Ca(OH)2 = 74 atomic mass units
