Insectivorous means insect-eating, these plants derive most of their nutrition from the insects, that they trap and consume. These plants grow in humid areas, where plenty of sunlight and moisture is found. They are found in the nitrogen deficient soil. That is why they trap and digest insects to absorb nutrients. Ranga was the son of the accountant who had been sent to Bangalore for his studies. His homecoming was considered to be a great event because of his knowledge of English. Ranga was a well-mannered,educated boy who was respectful of his elders in spite of having studied away from his village. It was usually the custom that people who left home also left behind their customs and traditions at home. But Ranga's deference towards his elders as exhibited during his meeting with the narrator left him with no room for doubt about Ranga being different from the uppity present day boys.He was quite thoughtful of other people,as the narrator puts it: 'a generous,considerate fellow'. His education is displayed through his idea of an ideal wife who should not be a docile homebound beauty but someone who stimulates him intellectually and can be on a par with him. In general,we can sum him up as a mature,sensible young man with enough intelligence to be of service to society.

let atomic weight of x = Mx
atomic weight of y = My
we know,
mole = weight /atomic weight
a/c to question,
mole of xy2 = 0.1
so,
0.1 = 10g/( Mx +2My)
Mx + 2My = 100g -------(1)
for x3y2 ; mole of x3y2 = 0.05
0.05 = 9/( 3Mx + 2My )
3Mx + 2My = 9/0.05 = 9× 20 = 180 g ---(2)
solve eqns (1) and (2)
2Mx = 80
Mx = 40g/mol
and My = 30g/mole

Banks are called debtors as well as creditors because banks accept various types of deposits from the public such as savings account deposit, current account deposit and fixed account deposit, and pay interest on them. They are indebted to repay the depositor the amount deposited by him or her. Besides this, they grant loans and advances on the basis of the total deposits available with them. These advances can be in the form of overdrafts, discounted trade bills, cash or consumer credits, etc.

The regime established by Augustus, the first emperor, in 27 BCE was called the ‘Principate’.
The Republic was the name for a regime in which the reality of power lay with the Senate, a body dominated by a small group of wealthy families who formed the ‘nobility’. In practice, the Republic represented the government of the nobility, exercised through the body called the Senate. The Republic lasted from 509 BC to 27 BC, when it was overthrown by Octavian, the adopted son and heir of Julius Caesar, who later changed his name to Augustus. Membership of the Senate was for life, and wealth and office-holding counted for more.

Susan Morgan's struggle to give birth had been a gruelling one. Her child was born lifeless but it had endangered her life as well. Susan Morgan lay collapsed, almost pulseless and not yet out of the ether upon her side. The doctor had to hurry to ensure that she would live, flinging down a hypodermic syringe and working unsparingly to restore the flaccid woman to life.
