When the English came to our land, they did not bring the industrialisation alone. They carried with themselves their culture, their religion and their language to our home. We, who had been ruled by the Slaves and the Moguls for centuries were now about to face yet another foreign dominance, which was to leave an impact on us that was to live for ever in the future. The biggest of all influences was the language English. Even after so many years of independence, we Indians are not able to pull ourselves out of this inferiority complex. They ruled our nation once and now even after so many decades, they rule our minds. We consider those inferior who do not know the English language. It is nothing but a language after all, why feel so proud about it when it is not even ours. Yes it is a global language and it is good to know foreign languages, however we must treat a language as language only and not as a status symbol.
This falsehood has been reflected very well in the story. The narrator, Shyama, showed how when Ranga returns from Bangalore, after completing his studies, the way people anticipated his return and the excitement on knowing that Ranga now knew English, “a priceless commodity”. They all wanted to see if there has been any change in Ranga after studying English in Bangalore. However, there was no change or little in Ranga's personality. He even did the traditional namaskar to Shyama by bowing down and touching his feet.

We know that if A is a set with m elements i.e., n(A)=m,
then, n[P(A)]=2m.
If A={} =ϕ, then n(A)=0
∴n[P(A)]=2o=1
Hence, P(A) has one element.

ess's law of constant heat summation:
The law states that the change in enthalpy for a reaction is the same whether the reaction takes place in one or a series of steps. The Hess's law can also be stated as the enthalpy change for a chemical reaction is the same regardless of the path by which the reaction occurs.
For example, consider following two paths for the preparation of methylene chloride
Path I :
CH4(g)+2Cl2(g)→CH2Cl2(g)+2HCl(g) ΔH10=−202.3kJ
Path II :
CH4(g)+Cl2(g)→CH3Cl(g)+HCl(g)ΔH20=−98.3kJ
CH3Cl(g)+Cl2(g)→CH2Cl2(g)+HCl(g)ΔH30=−104.0kJ
Adding two steps
CH4(g)+2Cl2(g)→CH2Cl2(g)+2HCl(g) ΔH20=−202.3kJ
Thus whether we follow path I or path II, the enthalpy change of the reaction is same. ΔH10=ΔH20+ΔH30=−202.3kJ

The writer’s grandmother was a very old woman. She was religious-minded and noble-hearted. In the house, she always carried a rosary in her hands. She kept telling the beads of the rosary and reciting prayers silently. She read holy books in the village temple. She would say her prayers while getting the child ready for school. She used to feed the dogs in the village and the sparrows in the city. She treated the author with the utmost affection. The author was sent abroad for five years for further studies. He thought that this might upset his grandmother, but she did not object and went to the railway station to see him off. When he returned after five years, she was there to welcome him. She was so happy that she collected the women in her neighbourhood and sang songs and beat the drum to celebrate his homecoming.
She was not formally educated. She had no knowledge of English and Science. But she was serious about the education of her grandson. She even helped him with his lessons in the village. But she was disturbed to know that music lessons were being given at the city school. It pained her to note that there was no teaching about God and holy books. She hated music. She belonged to the old generation.

Election is a mechanism by which people can choose their representatives at regular intervals and change them if they wish to do so. Elections are considered essential for the following reasons:
(i) In any large community it is not possible for all the people to sit together everyday and take all the decisions. Nor is it possible for everyone to have the time and knowledge to take decisions on all matters. Therefore, in most democracies, people rule through their representatives, who are elected by the people themselves. For electing these representatives, elections are essential.
(ii) Elections are fought on party basis. The party which gets a majority forms the government. If the government fails to work as per its promises, people can change it. They bring this change through elections. Thus, elections enable people to exercise control over the government.

(11110101)2 = (365)8
Step by step solution
Step 1: Write down the binary number
(011110101)2
Group all the digits in sets of three starting from the LSB (far right). Add zeros to the left of the last digit if there aren't enough digits to make a set of three.
011 110 101
Step 2: Use the table below to convert each set of three into an octal digit. In this case,
011=3, 110=6, 101=5.
So, the number 365 is the octal equivalent to 11110101 in binary.
To convert from binary to octal use the following table:
| Bin: | 000 | 001 | 010 | 011 | 100 | 101 | 110 | 111 |
| Octal: | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |

Ideas about self-esteem was first explored by William James with succeeding influence from humanistic ideas led by Carl Rogers
Leading theory
The most famous conceptualization and theory on self-concept is that of Carl Rogers while most influential on self-esteem is Abraham Maslow.

According to Carl Rogers, self-concept is composed of self-image, ideal self, and self-worth. Meanwhile, self-esteem is composed of successes and expectations, according to William James, while Nathaniel Branden theorizes that it is composed of self-efficacy and self-respect.
Influencing factors
Self-concept is influenced by biological and environmental factors including social interactions. Self-esteem is influenced the same and Carl Rogers proposes that it is also influenced by the congruence of the two other factors of self-concept which are self-image and ideal self.
