CO is isoelectronic with NO+ and N2.  CO has 14 electrons, 8 from oxygen and 6 from carbon. NO has 15 electrons 8 from oxygen and 7 from nitogen. But, as it becomes NO+, it loses an electron and the number of electrons is 14. Similarly, N2 has 14 electrons, 7 from each of the nitrogen atoms.

Parallax is the displacement or the change in the apparent position of the object when viewed from two different points of view. The two points of view have their own line of sights and parallax is measured as half of the angle between the two lines of sights.

When you are traveling in a vehicle and you look around as you are moving, you will see that objects in the distances appear to move more slowly than the objects closer to you. This is the effect of parallax. Nearby objects have a larger parallax than the distant objects, so the parallax can be used to determine distances.

The phenomenon of parallax, when combined with triangulation, will yield the location of the object with considerable accuracy. Astronomers regularly use the parallax method to measure the distances of the closer stars.

India Adopted FPTP system because: 1. FPTP is way simpler as compares to PR. 2. PR can work in a country with less population but India has a large population so FPTP is suitable for India. 3. In PR party has no single person to represent them, party is elected collectively on the basis of their work. 4. In FPTP a single person (eg. Modi ji is the face of BJP) represent the whole party and people give vote to that party on the basis of that one person.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 5 months ago

India adopted FPTP system because -
1. The entire election system is simple to understand.
2. There is also a clear choice presented to the voters at the time of elections i.e. voters have to simply endorse a candidate or a party while voting .
3. The FPTP system offers voters a choice not simply between parties but specific candidates .
4. Makers of our constitution also felt that PR based elections may not be suitable for giving a stable govt.in a parliamentary system .
5. The FPTP system encourages voters from different social groups to come together to win an election in a locality . In a diverse country like India a PR system would encourage each community to form it's own nation-wide party. This is why FPTP system is best for India.

Heterotroph is an organism that is unable to synthesize its own food, and therefore, has to rely on other sources, specifically plant and animal matter

The word Heterotrophic is the combination of two words i.e. Hetero + Trophos. Hetero means ‘others’ and ‘trophos’ means nourishment. If organisms depend on others for their food, such a mode of nutrition is called Hetetrophic Nutrition.

Animals cannot make their food themselves. They depend for food upon plants. Therefore, nutrition in animals is called Hetetrophic Nutrition. Animals are known as Heterotrophs.

Luminous intensity, the quantity of visible light that is emitted in unit time per unit solid angle. The unit for the quantity of light flowing from a source in any one second (the luminous power, or luminous flux) is called the lumen. The intensity is defined as power per unit area, and power is defined as energy per unit time. Thus: I=PA=EΔt1A. Because when intensity of incident light increases, it means that number of photons increases in incident light. If number of incident photons increases, then number of emitted photo electrons also increases, consequently the photo electric current increases.

Angular displacement is defined as “the angle in radians (degrees, revolutions) through which a point or line has been rotated in a specified sense about a specified axis”. It is the angle of the movement of a body in a circular path. Angular displacement is measured in units of radians. Two pi radians equals 360 degrees. The angular displacement is not a length (not measured in meters or feet), so an angular displacement is different than a linear displacement.

Subject: Help for Kerala flood victims

Sir:

I am writing this letter to appeal to the people of our country to come forward in helping the flood-stricken people of Kerala. Recently one of the worst floods have hit Kerala in decades. Owing to copious rainfall that started on August 8, 2018, all the dams of the state were filled to capacity. The gates had to be opened to keep the dams safe. The incessant rains further deteriorated the flood situation. Approximately 370 people have died in the floods so far. Thousands of homes have been affected and damaged. More than a million people had to take shelter in relief camps. Normal life has come to a standstill. It will take many months of hard-work to bring life to normalcy in Kerala.

The entire nation has come forward to lend a helping hand to the Kerala flood victims. Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Multi-National Corporations, Big Business Houses, Celebrities, Sportsmen and women, schools, colleges, and common people have been contributing to Kerala’s Chief Minister’s Relief Fund generously. Even the help from foreign countries is pouring in. It will take many months of hard-work to bring life to normalcy in Kerala. Through the medium of your esteemed newspaper I appeal to the people to contribute liberally. Kindly give my views enough space in your esteemed daily. Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,
Rohit/Riya

If u equals to {1, 2, 3, 4,.....,10} is the universal set for the two sets a={2,3,4,5} and b={1,2,3,4,5,6} then verify that (a u b)" equals to a" n b"

Given

     a = { 2, 3, 4, 5 }   and   b = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 }

Then

     a ∪ b = [ everything in one or the other ]

               = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 }

so

   ( a ∪ b )' = [ the complement, so everything in u that's not in a∪b ]

                  = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }.         ...(*)

Also

     a' = { 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 }    and    b' = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }

so

     a' ∩ b' = [ those elements in both a' and b' ]

                 = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }.          ...(**)

The sets at (*) and (**) are the same, verifying the relationship

    ( a ∪ b )' = a' ∩ b'.

In a pie chart, the various observations or components are represented by the sectors of a circle and the whole circle represents the sum of the value of all the components . Clearly, the total angle of 360° at the center of the circle is divided according to the values of the components. A bar graph is a chart that uses bars to show comparisons between categories of data. The bars can be either horizontal or vertical. Bar graphs with vertical bars are sometimes called vertical bar graphs. Pie charts are generally used to show percentage or proportional data and usually the percentage represented by each category is provided next to the corresponding slice of pie.
