| Effusion | Diffusion |
| Effusion is said to occur when gas molecules escape through a pinhole into a vacuum. | During diffusion one gas mixes with another usually by thermal random motion resulting in the collision between each other while releasing molecular energy. |
| Effusion in simple terms is the ability of gas to travel through a small opening. | Diffusion is the ability of gases to mix with each other usually in the absence of a barrier. |
| Effusion occurs when the size or aperture of the hole is smaller than the mean free path of the molecules. | Diffusion happens when there are no holes or if holes in the barrier are larger than the mean free path. |
| During effusion particles move faster than diffusion because there is no collision between molecules. | Diffusion rate is limited by the size and kinetic energy of the other particles. |
| Effusion occurs or is facilitated by a difference of pressures. | Diffusion occurs due to difference in concentrations. |

The Electronic configuration of Cr and Cu are given below ⇒
1. Cr = 24 = 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 4p⁶ 4s¹ 3d⁵
2. Cu = 29 = 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 4p⁶ 4s¹ 3d¹⁰
These electronic configuration are exceptional because electrons entered in 3-d orbitals without filling the 4s orbitals complete.
Reason for the Exceptions ⇒ It is said that d orbitals can be stable if it is half filled or full filled.
Thus, In the given case, electrons reaches near the half filled and full filled thus due to the attraction one electrons from the s orbitals came in d orbitals.

Development |
|
(i)Growth is quantitative and value neutral. |
(i)Development means a qualitative change which is always value positive. |
|
(ii)It may have positive or negative sign. |
(ii)It means that development cannot take place unless there is an increment or addition to the existing conditions. |
|
(iii)This means that the change may be either positive or negative. |
(iii)Development occurs when positive growth take place. It occurs when there is a positive change in quality. |
Example: If the population of a city grows from one lakh to two lakhs over a period of time, we say the city has grown. However, if the facilities like housing, provision of basic services and other characteristics remain the same then this growth has not been accompanied by development.

Passage:
But I want to say one last important thing. Some people think that arguing is always bad. This is not true. Conflict is a normal part of life, and dealing with conflict is an important part of any relationship, whether it's three people sharing a flat, a married couple, or just two good friends. If you don't learn to argue properly, then when a real problem comes along, you won't be prepared to face it together. Think of the smaller arguments as training sessions. Learn how to argue cleanly and fairly. It will help your relationship become stronger and last longer

- When you are giving an argument, there is no need to raise your voice as it shows weakness.
- Choosing the right words and keeping your voice low are practices that keep arguments under control.
- If we don't learn to put forward our argument properly, you will face embarrassment in front of everyone.

Maurad was considered one of the craziest members of the narrator’s family. He was full of life and loved following his passions without caring for people around him. He could do anything to do the things he loved. He even risked his tribe's reputation for his passion for riding. Mourad had the knack of handling almost any critical situation. His heart was spilling with love for animals. However, Aram in spite of being younger was more practical. He was not as crazy as his elder cousin. He was worried about his family's reputation. He was neither a good rider nor as spontaneously efficient as his cousin. The two cousins had a wonderful rapport between them and they got along pretty well.

A company abides by the new regulations regarding payment of taxes in India. It is performing its social responsibility towards the government
Social responsibility of business towards government’s regulatory bodies or agencies is quite sensitive from the license point of view. If permission is not granted or revoked abruptly, it can result in huge losses to an organization. Therefore, compliance in this regard is necessary.
Furthermore, a business must also function within the demarcation of rules and policies as formulated from time to time by the government of state or nation. It should respect laws and abide by all established regulations while performing within the jurisdiction of state.
Some examples of activities a business can do in this regard:
- Paying fair taxes on time,
- Following labor, environmental and other laws, etc.
- Seeking permissions wherever necessary,
- Licensing an organization,

Andrew reaches the conclusion that all these marriages were dismal failures based on the episode he had witnessed at Cardiff station. It obsessed him morbidly as he thought about Bramwell, who was foolishly devoted to a woman who deceived him sordidly. Then he thought of Edward Page who was bound a shrewish Blodwen, of Denny who was living an unhappy life being away from his wife. All these relationships led him to draw such a conclusion and he winced from this realization. He wished to consider marriage as an idyllic state because the only thing the image of Christine permitted him to conceive of. Her shining eyes admitted no other conclusion. He was conflicted between listening to his level head or overflowing heart, leaving him resentful and confused.

After having delivered a stillborn child, Andrew found himself torn in conflict. The dilemma was to whether try and resuscitate the child first or to turn his attention to the mother, who was herself in a desperate state. Andrew instinctively gave the child to the nurse and frantically began his effort to restore the mother's ebbing strength. It took him some time and effort and finally the mother's heart strengthened. Then he moved his attention back to the child who lay pulseless under the bed.

Andrew found the baby amongst wet newspapers under the bed. Its limp warm body was white and soft. Its head lolled on the thin neck. The limbs seemed boneless. The whiteness over the body meant suffocation caused by the lack of oxygen.

Sea-Floor Spreading
During World War II, geologists employed by the military carried out studies of the sea floor, a part of the Earth that had received little scientific study. The purpose of these studies was to understand the topography of the sea floor to find hiding places for both Allied and enemy submarines. The topographic studies involved measuring the depth to the sea floor. These studies revealed the presence of two important topographic features of the ocean floor:
- Oceanic Ridges - long sinuous ridges that occupy the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and the eastern part of the Pacific Ocean.
- Oceanic Trenches - deep trenches along the margins of continents, particularly surrounding the Pacific Ocean.
Plate Tectonics By combining the sea floor spreading theory with continental drift and information on global seismicity, the new theory of Plate Tectonics became a coherent theory to explain crustal movements.
Plates are composed of lithosphere, about 100 km thick, that "float" on the ductile asthenosphere.
While the continents do indeed appear to drift, they do so only because they are part of larger plates that float and move horizontally on the upper mantle asthenosphere. The plates behave as rigid bodies with some ability to flex, but deformation occurs mainly along the boundaries

Carter encountered a problem when he reached the mummy, the ritual resins had hardened cementing Tut to the bottom of his solid gold coffin and no amount of legitimate force could move them. Since the Egyptian sun could beat down like a hammer in the far south of Egypt, Carter decided to leave the mummy out in the blazing sunshine to loosen the resins but to no avail. So he had chisel away the consolidated material from beneath the limbs and the trunk before it was possible to raise the king's remains. This was required otherwise thieves would have run off with the riches

Sparrows were very closely attached to author's grandmother. She use to give bread crumbs to sparrows when she is alive.
When she died the sparrows express their sorrow by not chirrup. They gathered in thousand around her dead body. The sparrows also express their love for author's grandmother by not eating bread crumbs thrown to them by author's mother and when the dead body was taken for cremation, they fly away quietly.
