Primary Functions

1. Accepting Deposits: Accepting deposits is the main function of commercial banks. Banks offer different types of Bank accounts to suit the requirements and needs of different customers. Different types of Bank accounts areas follows:

A. Fixed Deposit Account: Money is deposited in the account for a fixed period is called as Fixed Deposit account. After expiry of specified period ,person can claim his money from the bank. Usually the rate of interest is maximum in this account. The longer the period of deposit, the higher will be the rate of interest on deposit.

B. Current Deposit Account: Current deposit Accounts are opened by businessman. The account holder can deposit and Withdraw money. Whenever desired. As the deposit is repayable on demand, it is also known as demand deposit. Withdrawals are always made by cheque. No interest is paid on current accounts. Rather charges are taken by bank for services rendered by it.

C. Saving Deposit Account: The aim of a saving account is to mobilize savings of the public. A person can open this account by depositing a small sum of money. He can withdraw money from his account and make additional deposits at will. Account holder also gets interest on his deposit. In this account though the rate of interest is lower than the rate of interest on fixed deposit account.

D.Recurring Deposit Account: The aim of recurring deposit is to encourage regular savings by the people. A depositor can deposit a fixed amount, say Rs. 100 every month for a fixed period. The amount together with interest is repaid on maturity. The interest rate on this account is higher than that on saving deposits.

E. Multiple Option Deposit Account: It is a type of saving Bank A/c in which deposit in excess of a particular limit get  automatically transferred into fixed Deposit. On the other hand, in case adequate fund is not available in our saving Bank Account so, as to honour a cheque that we have issued the required amount gets automatically transferred from fixed deposit to the saving bank account. Therefore, the account holder has twin benefits from this amount (i) he can earn more interest and (ii) It lowers the risk of dishonoring a cheque.

2. Lending Money with the help of money collected through various types of deposits, commercial banks lend finance to businessman, farmers, and others. The main ways of lending money are as follows:

A. Term Loans: These loans are provided by the banks to their customers for a fixed period to purchases Machinery. Truck. Scooter. House etc. The borrowers repay the loans in Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Annual installments.

B. Bank Overdraft: The customer who maintains a current account with the bank, takes permission from the bank to withdraw more money than deposited in his account. The extra amount withdrawn is called overdraft. This facility is available to trustworthy customers for a small period. This facility is usually given against the security of some assets or on the personal security of the customer. Interest is charged on the actual amount overdrawn by the customer.

C. Cash Credit: Under this arrangement, the bank advances cash loan up to a specified limit against current assets and other securities. The bank opens an account in the name of the borrower and allows him to withdraw the borrowed money from time to time subject to the sanctioned limit. Interest is charged on the amount actually withdraw.

D. Discounting of Bill of Exchange: Under this, a bank gives money to its customers on the security of a bill of exchange before the expiry of the bill in ease of customers needs it. For this service bank charges discount for the remaining period of the bill.

Ectomorph

Predominately linear.

Poor capacity for large muscle size, their necks and forearms tend to be longer.

Thinner bones than average. Light on the scale.

May feel hungry often but total caloric intake for any given meal is not that high due to smaller surface area of the digestive system.

May (but not always) tend to have a lower blood pressure than the other 2 body types.

Energy reserves for high-intensity anaerobic work is low, may excel a little better with endurance activities vs short bursts of power.

Very light sleepers, it doesn’t take much to wake them from sleep.

Fast metabolism.

Endomorph

Predominately width.

Moderate to large capacity for muscle size, their necks (if visible) tend to be shorter and their heads large.

Shorter bones than average. Heavier on the scale.

Usually look their biological age or perhaps older. Thick skin. Some endomorphs are prone to perspire very easily and usually love air conditioners :)

Appetite can vary but due to their digestive system being dominant they can accommodate a large amount of calories at a time.

If they are carrying too much fat for their height it may put them at risk for hypertension and cardiovascular events.

They excel at sports where short bursts of power are needed. They also (untrained) tend to be stronger than average.

They tend to sleep well and usually never suffer from insomnia.

Slower metabolism.

In a chemical reaction chemical equilibrium is defined as the state at which there is no further change in concentration of reactants and products.
For example,

At equilibrium the rate of forward reaction is equal to the rate of backward reaction. Equilibrium mixture: The mixture of reactants and products in the equilibrium state is called an equilibrium mixtures.
Based on the extent to which the reactions proceed to reach the state of equilibrium, these may be classified in three groups:
(i) The reactions which proceed almost to completion and the concentrations of the reactants left are negligible.
(ii) The reactions in which most of the reactants remains unchanged, i.e. only small amounts of products are formed.
(iii) The reactions in which the concentrations of both the reactants and products are comparable when the system is in equilibrium.

The Election Commission of India can either be a single member or a multi-member body. Till 1989, the Election Commission was single member. Just before the 1989 general elections, two Election Commissioners were appointed, making the body multi-member. Soon after the elections, the Commission reverted to its single member status. In 1993, two Election Commissioners were once again appointed and the Commission became multi-member and has remained multi-member since then.

The close emotional bond of affection that develop between infants and their parents is called attachment. Human babies form an attachment with their parents or caregivers who consistently and appropriately reciprocate to their signals of love and affection. According to Erikson (1968), the first year of life is the key time for the development of attachment. It represents the stage of developing trust or mistrust. A sense of trust is built on a feeling of physical comfort which builds an expectation of the world as a secure and good place.

An infant’s sense of trust is developed by responsive and sensitive parenting. If the parents are sensitive, affectionate, and accepting, it provides the infant a strong base to explore the environment. Such infants are likely to develop a secune attachment. On the other hand, if the parents are insensitive and show dissatisfaction land find faults with the child, it can lead to creating feelings of self-doubt in the child.

ANSWER

The average kinetic energy of a collection of gas particles is directly proportional to absolute temperature only.

We know that, KE = 3 / 2 kT

where 3 / 2 k , so KE ∝ T
Now we can say that the average kinetic energy of a gas molecule at absolute temperature T is directly proportional to T.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago

The average kinetic energy of the particles in a gas is proportional to the temperature of the gas

The actual charge felt by the valence shell electron is called effective nuclear energy. It is denoted by

zeff  and the repulsive forces felt by valence shell electrons from the electron present in the inner shell is called shielding effect or screening effect.
zeff = total nuclear charge − screening constant (σ)
Screening constant = total nuclear charge − zeff
Greater the number of electrons in inner shells larger will be the screening effect. With increase in screening effect zeff will be decreased.
As the force of attraction by the nucleus for the valence shell electrons decreases and hence the ionization energy decreases. In other words an increase in the number of electrons in the inner shell leads to decrease the ionization energy.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago

The electrons present in the inner shells act as screens between the nucleus and the valence shell electrons. In order words, these electrons partially neutralise the force fo attraction fo the nucleus, over the valence electrons. This is called, 'shielding or screening effect'.
When the screening effect increase (No. of inner electron-shells increase), the IP decreases.
THe magnitude of screening effect  ∝1/I.P.

Life is dull because of stark realities. It thus remains unthrilling. Jokes and pranks play the role of spice and make life enjoyable. But if pranks and jokes pinch and hurt others, the very spice becomes poisonous. If they are at somebody else’s cost, they leave a bitter taste. So one should not play pranks or jokes to annoy somebody. Above all pranks should not also harm other people. If somebody appears, before a weak-hearted person, in the disguise of a ghost, that can kill the person.

Pranks should set right moods and banish enmity. A man should remain sensitive while trying to create lighter moments. The horse could have created trouble for Mound and Aram. The horse taken away just for a joy-ride might have thrown them on the ground. John Byro, whose horse Mourad had stolen, was a tactful man. He pricked the conscience of the boys by saying that he knew that they were honest boys who belonged to an honourable family and they could not be thieves. Eventually, Mourad’s conscience pricked him and he returned the horse. Pranks and jokes should be mild and innocent.
