The capital obtained by issue of equity shares is known as equity share capital. It is the important source of obtaining the long term finance. Equity shareholders are the owners of the company. The rate of dividend is paid after meeting all other claims. They have a right to vote and participate in the management of the company. They enjoy the reward as well as bear the risk.
- Merits :
- Equity share capital doesn’t create any charge on the assets of the company.
- Voting rights of equity shareholders assure democratic control over management of the company.
- Equity share capital is to be repaid only at the
time of winding up of a company and hence it is permanent capital of the business. - There is no burden on the company in respect of dividend payable to equity shareholders because it is not compulsory to pay dividend.
- Equity shares are generally suitable for those investors who are willing to undertake risk for higher returns.
- Equity share capital increases credit worthiness of the company and also provides confidence to prospective loan providers.

In CBSE Board Exams the format is pretty simple.
Start with the topic as the heading in the center. Say let's assume one for this answer: Should Reservation be removed. Let's say you are writing for the topic i.e. you believe Reservation should be removed.
The first paragraph contains the salutations and self introduction, based on the situation provided if any. It also states your stance on the motion i.e. for or against the topic. For example,
Good morning everyone. Esteemed judges, guests , teachers and my fellow students. My name is ABC, and today I will be speaking for the topic "Should Reservation be removed".
(Assuming the setting of a debate competition)
You can also add a few introductory lines in this paragraph or choose to start your argumentation in the next paragraph. I generally prefer to start in the next paragraph as it makes the written piece more organized.
The second paragraph is the major body of the debate. You introduce the topic here, and provide your argumentation or justification for why you chose your stance. In our example, you can start off by giving a brief introduction to the Reservation system in India, and since you are writing to remove reservation, you can give reasons why Reservation is bad, and how removing reservation can benefit which section of the society, as well as how to handle the consequences, if any, removing Reservation.
A small tip. If you have multiple arguments, and have sufficient to write about each one, you can break the body into multiple paragraphs as well. Try your best to avoid making more than 2-3 paragraphs though, and stick to word limit.
The final paragraph is the conclusion. A brief gist of your arguments, and reiteration of your strongest points. Try to write this between 5-6 lines, and end with a "Thank you for your patient hearing."

- The First law of thermodynamics is same as law of conservation of energy.
- According to law of energy conservation: - Energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, only transformed to other forms.
- According to first law of thermodynamics:- The change in the internal energy of a closed system is equal to the amount of heat supplied to the system, minus the amount of work done by the system on its surroundings.
- Examples:- Consider a ball falling from the roof of the building when at top of the building the ball has only potential energy and when it starts falling potential energy decreases and kinetic energy starts increasing. At the ground it has only kinetic energy.
