Human being, a culture-bearing primate classified in the genus Homo, especially the species H. sapiens. Human beings are anatomically similar and related to the great apes but are distinguished by a more highly developed brain and a resultant capacity for articulate speech and abstract reasoning. Traditionally, humans were considered the sole recent representatives of the family Hominidae, but recent findings indicate that chimpanzees and bonobos are more closely related to humans than are gorillas and orangutans and that the last common ancestor between the chimpanzee and human lines lived sometime between seven million and six million years ago. Therefore, all great apes are now gathered with humans into Hominidae, and within that family humans and their extinct ancestors are considered to make up the tribe Hominini. See also Homo sapiens; human evolution.

It lies between the Eastern Ghats and Bay of Bengal. It is a narrow plain. It is little broader than the Western coastal plain. It consists of three sections. The Northern part of the coast is called Konkan (Mumbai-Goa) coast, the central part is known as Kannad plain and the Southern stretch is called the Malabar coast. It consists of two main sections. In the Northern part, it is referred to as the Northern Circar. In Southern part, it is known as Coromandel coast. The rivers flowing in this region are short and fast flowing. The major Westward flowing rivers are Narmada and Tapi. The rivers flowing in this region are much larger and broader. The major rivers which make deltas are the Mahanadi, the Godavari, the Krishna and the Kaveri.

Bryophytes are an informal group consisting of three divisions of non-vascular land plants (embryophytes): the liverworts, hornworts and mosses. They are characteristically limited in size and prefer moist habitats although they can survive in drier environments. The bryophytes consist of about 20,000 plant species. The aim is to give you a good understanding of bryophyte structure and of the similarities and differences between the three groups.

The main goal of networking is "Resource sharing", and it is to make all programs, data and equipment available to anyone on the network without the regard to the physical location of the resource and the user. A second goal is to provide high reliability by having alternative sources of supply. Computer networks support many applications and services, such as access to the World Wide Web, digital video, digital audio, shared use of application and storage servers, printers, and fax machines, and use of email and instant messaging applications.

11th Economics Measures of Central Tendency Arithmetic Mean in Statistics The mean marks (out of 100 ... STATISTICS The mean marks (out of 100) of boys and girls in an examination are 70 and 73, respectively. If the mean marks of all the students in that examination is 71, find the ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls. MEDIUM Share Study later VIDEO EXPLANATION ANSWER Let the total number of boys be x and the total number of girls br y. Let the sum of the marks of boys be a and the sum of the marks of girls be b. Mean marks of boys are =70 Mean marks of girls are =73 Therefore, ⇒ x a =70 ⇒a=70x and ⇒ y b =73 ⇒b=73y Now, mean marks of all the students is 71 Therfore, ⇒ x+y sum of the marks of all the students =71 ⇒sum of the marks of all the students=a+b ⇒a+b=70x+73y Therefore, ⇒ x+y 70x+73y =71 ⇒70x+73y=71x+71y ⇒2y=x ⇒ y x = 1 2 Hence the ratio is 2:1

Kurt Lewin first proposed the famous equation B = f (p1 E) – which suggests that behaviour is the product of a person and his/her environment. Kurt Lewin's behavior equation is “B = f(P, E)”. It states that an individual's behavior (B) is a function (f) of the the person (P), including their history, personality and motivation, and their environment (E), which includes both their physical and social surroundings.

Omprakash Valmiki and the Ansaris were being treated unequally on the basis of caste and religion.  The self-respect and dignity of Omprakash Valmiki and the Ansaris were attacked.

Om Prakash was from the dalit community who was not allowed to sit together with his other classmates in the classroom. He was also asked to sweep the school floors and playground, unlike his other classmates.
On the other hand, the Ansaris were not given a place on rent because of their religion

Both of them were victims of unequal treatment.

Over the past century, employment in the primary and secondary sectors has declined in most rural areas, while the significance of the tertiary sector, or services, has become increasingly important. Today two-thirds to three-quarters of all jobs in rural areas are in the service sector. These structural changes in the economy have led geographers to initiate a sizable research program examining services. But, research on the topic is complicated by a number of factors, including issues surrounding the definition and classification of services. Additionally, in contrast to sectors like farming that are driven by external demand, the service sector in rural and urban areas has traditionally been reliant on local demand. As a result, the strategies and rationales for locating service establishments are quite different. Moreover, individual components of the service sector are quite different from each other (e.g., producer services vs. producer services), and the spatial impact of increasing or decreasing employment in one subsector as opposed to another will also be different. Finally, the role and nature of services in the rural economy varies tremendously from services in urban areas. These and a number of other issues are reviewed in the article.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago (2577571)

Copper does not react with cold water, hot water or steam however iron reacts with steam. If water tanks are made of steel which is an iron alloy than iron would react with steam formed from hot water.

3Fe + 4H2O →Fe3O4 + 4H2

That is why copper is used to make hot water tanks and not steel.
