Kinetic energy of an object is the energy that it possesses due to its motion. It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity.

Derivation:

Let us consider an object of m which is at rest lying on a table.

Let A force F acts on the object which moves the object through a distance S.

The workdone=F×S

W=Fnet×S-------(1)

Let the work done on the object causes a change in its velocity from u to V and let a be the acceleration.

From Third equation of motion:

V²−u²=2as

s=V²−u²/2a----------(2)

By Newton's Second law:

F=ma------(3)

From equation (1), (2) and (3)

W=ma×(V2−u2/2a)=(1/2)m(V2−u2)

As we assumed object at rest, u=0

W=(1/2)mV2

we know that the kinetic energy of a body moving with a certain velocity is equal to work done on the object to acquire that velocity from rest.

∴K.E=1/2mV2

Farmers who supplied food to the Harappan cities lived a settled life as they were engaged in farming activities. Farmers and herders mostly depended on agriculture and domestication of animals for their livelihood while as hunter-gathers in chapter 2 depended on hunting of wild animals and plants. Yes the life of the farmers and herders who supplied food to the Harappan cities was different because the farmers and Herders of the Harapans lived away from the cities in which everyone else lived.

The law of constant proportion stated that chemical compounds are made up of elements that are present in fixed ratio by mass. This implies that any pure sample of compound,no matter the source,will always consist of the same elements that are present in the same ratio by mass. For example - pure water always contain hydrogen and oxygen in a fixed mass ratio.

Valency of phosphorus is 3

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago (2898529)

Phosphorus has valency 3.

The valence (or valency) of an element is a measure of its combining power with other atoms when it forms chemical compounds or molecules.
In PH3,  P is combined to 3 H atoms, so the valency of phosphorous is +3.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago (2577571)

The number of valence electrons or the number of electrons in the outermost shell of phosphorus is 3. - Thus, one atom of phosphorus is capable of combining with three atoms of hydrogen in order to form phosphine (PH3). Therefore, the valency of phosphorus in PH3 is +3.

In the clear sky means when there are no clouds, a kite will look bright in it. It will be clearly noticeable.The kite hurls and with every wag  its tail produces a cracking sound. Then, while flying ,all of a sudden, the kite goes high on the top just like a ship goes up and down on the crest of waves  with a sail cloth. It moves forward when the wind is strong. But as the wind falls,it seems as if it is also taking a rest for a while in the air. Sometimes, the thread tied to the kite loosen, the flier tries to  roll the thread and runs till a new breeze(air) fills its wings.

A kite really looks bright on a clear sky. But when it gets struck on a tree top, it gets torn and gives a poor look.

Red blood cells are not considered to be prokaryotic, because they are part of an eukaryotic organism. Red blood cells begin life with the full complement of organelles, including a nucleus and mitochondria, but RBCs in humans shed their organelles during maturation. In actuality, though, only mammalian RBCs lack nuclei; RBCs in other animals still hold on to their traditional eukaryotic characteristics.
