Solution

A mixture of soluble solid in liquid is called solution.

Filtration: The process of removing insoluble solids from a liquid by using a filter paper is known as filtrationFiltration is used for separating insoluble substances from a liquid. The mixture of insoluble solid and liquid is poured into a filter paper cone fixed in a funnel by using a glass rod as a guide. The liquid passes through the filter paper and collect in the beaker kept below the funnel. The solid particles do not pass through the filter paper and remain behind on the filter paper. A mixture of insoluble solid in a liquid is separated into the solid and clear liquid.

c)4 minutes

Every four minutes, the earth has turned one degree. In one minute of time, the earth has turned 15 minutes of arc. So, every four seconds of time, the earth rotates one minute of arc. Each of the infinite meridians has a different time as its position relative to the sun changes during the rotation.

C) Stereotypes

Ashritha Reddy J 5 years, 3 months ago (9811055)

Ok

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago (2898529)

Stereotypes prevent us from doing certain things that we might otherwise be good at.

Explanation:

Stereotyping is setting an image about people or things based on certain characteristics or their membership to a particular group. Stereotyping is harmful for the individual and society for the following reasons:

1. We set an image of people belonging to one community and then pass on this impression to others. Thus, this establishes an unbroken chain of unestablished form of lies.

2. This image gets fixed and we start to recognise that group based on the set image. This stops us from appreciating the individual qualities.

Flow just refer to value of a variable during period of time

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago (2898529)

Flow Variables. A flow is a quantity which is measured with reference to a period of time. Thus flows are defined with reference to a specific period (length of time), e.g., hours, days, weeks, months or years. It has time dimension. National income is a flow. It describes and measures flow of goods and services which become available to a country during a year. Similarly all other economic variables which have time dimension, i.e., whose magnitude can be measured over a period of time are called flow variables. For instance, income of a person is a flow which is earned during a week or a month or any other period. Likewise investment (i.e., addition to the stock of capital) is a flow as it pertains to a period of time. Other examples of flows are : expenditure, savings, depreciation, interest, exports, imports, change in inventories (not mere inventories), change in money supply, lending, borrowing, rent, profit, etc. because magnitude (size) of all these are measured over a period of time.

A Fox once saw a Crow fly off with a piece of cheese in its beak and settle on a branch of a tree.

"That's for me, as I am a Fox," said Master Reynard, and he walked up to the foot of the tree.

"Good day, Mistress Crow," he cried. "How well you are looking today: how glossy your feathers; how bright your eye. I feel sure your voice must surpass that of other birds, just as your figure does; let me hear but one song from you that I may greet you as the Queen of Birds."

The Crow lifted up her head and began to caw her best, but the moment she opened her mouth the piece of cheese fell to the ground, only to be snapped up by Master Fox.

"That will do," said he. "That was all I wanted. In exchange for your cheese I will give you a piece of advice for the future: "Do not trust flatterers."

The Rebel describes the character of a rebel, a person who does not conform to the norms of the society. The rebel is described as a person who would contradict others in order to be different. The character of the rebel in the poem is not based on a political activist, but seems to be a character sketch of a young adolescent, trying to be different. All the instances in the poem are repetitive affirmations of this fact.

If a rebel sees a group of people with short hair, he would let his hair grow long. On seeing others with long hair, the rebel would cut short his hair. Seeing everybody talk during the lesson, the rebel would become absolutely mute. On realizing that everybody is silent the rebel would create a disturbance.

Similarly, on various such issues, the rebel would be seen contradicting others and doing things that no one would be doing. He would refuse to wear the uniform when the others would be wearing it, praise the dogs when in the company of cat lovers, appreciate the sun on rainy days and rains on the sunny days. He would do just anything but not what others are doing.

The collide particles are moving at random in a zig-zag in all direction is movment known as brownian movment

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago (2898529)

“Brownian motion refers to the random movement displayed by small particles that are suspended in fluids. It is commonly referred to as Brownian movement”. This motion is a result of the collisions of the particles with other fast-moving particles in the fluid.

Brownian motion is named after the Scottish Botanist Robert Brown, who first observed that pollen grains move in random directions when placed in water.

  • The size of the particles is inversely proportional to the speed of the motion, i.e. Small particles exhibit faster movements.
  • This is because the transfer of momentum is inversely proportional to the mass of the particles. Lighter particles obtain greater speeds from collisions.
  • The speed of the Brownian motion is inversely proportional to the viscosity of the fluid. The lower the viscosity of the fluid, the faster the Brownian movement.
  • Viscosity is a quantity that expresses the magnitude of the internal friction in a liquid. It is the measure of the fluid’s resistance to flow.

S and R are mid points of DA and DC respectively.

 By mid point theorem

SR || AC and SR =  ...(1)

Similarly in BAC,

PQ || AC and PQ =  ...(2)

From (1) and (2),

SR || PQ and SR = PQ

Hence PQRS is a parallelogram.

(i) 1 atom of A will react with molecules of B2 = 1
300 atoms of A will react with molecules of B2 = 300
But molecules of B2 actually available = 200
∴  B2 is the limiting reactant.

(ii) 1 mol of A reacts with 1 mol of B
∴ 2 mol of A will react with 2 mol of B.
Hence A is the limiting reactant.
