Theorem 6. 1 : If two lines intersect each other, then the vertically opposite angles are equal
Given :- two lines intersect each other
To prove :- ∠AOC = ∠BOD and ∠AOD = ∠BOC
Proof :- AB and CD be two lines intersecting at O as shown in Fig 6 8 They lead to two pairs of
vertically opposite angles, namely, (i) ∠AOC and ∠ BOD
(ii) ∠ AOD and ∠ BOC

We need to prove that ∠AOC = ∠BOD
and ∠AOD = ∠BOC
Now, ray OA stands on line CD
From (Linear pair axiom)
∠AOC + ∠AOD = 180° … (1)
∠AOD + ∠BOD = 180° … (2)
From (1) and (2), we can write
∠AOC + ∠AOD = ∠AOD + ∠BOD
This implies that ∠AOC = ∠BOD
Similarly, it can be proved that ∠AOD = ∠BOC
Parallel Lines and a Transversal

∠1, ∠ 2, ∠7 and ∠ 8 are called exterior angles,
∠ 3, ∠ 4, ∠ 5 and ∠6 are called interior angles
(a) Corresponding angles :
(i) ∠1 = ∠ 5 (ii) ∠ 2 = ∠ 6 (iii) ∠ 4 = ∠ 8 (iv) ∠ 3 = ∠ 7
(b) Alternate interior angles :
(i) ∠ 4 = ∠ 6 (ii) ∠ 3 = ∠ 5
(c) Alternate exterior angles:
(i) ∠1 = ∠ 7 (ii) ∠ 2 = ∠8
(d) Interior angles on the same side of the transversal:
(i) ∠4 + ∠5 =180°(ii) ∠3 + ∠ 6 =180°

Reproduction is the process by which new individuals are produced by the parents. The process of reproduction ensures that a plant or animal species does not disappear from Earth. This process is very important in maintaining stability in the ecosystem and for the continuation of life on earth. Had there been no reproduction, all the species would have become extinct.
Importance of Reproduction
- Reproduction maintains a balance between the birth rate and death rate.
- The new individuals replace the old and the dying population.
- It also helps in increasing the number of species in the ecosystem.
- The genes are transmitted from the parents to the offspring.
- This leads to the evolution of species.
- Variations in species and their ability to survive in different environments is the result of reproduction.

The resettlement process includes challenges such as the loss of culture, community, and language as well as the need to adapt to a new and foreign environment. Children are often caught between the old and new cultures because they learn new languages and acquire cultural norms more quickly than their older relatives. Causes for the crisis of the refugees can include war and civil war, human rights violations, environment and climate. They provide protection to people who are in urgent need of it, especially when targeted at the most vulnerable groups in the refugee population. Most significantly, perhaps, resettlement programs avert the need for refugees to make long, dangerous, and sometimes illicit journeys to distant asylum locations.

A permutation is defined as an arrangement in a definite order of a number of objects taken some or all at a time. Counting permutations are merely counting the number of ways in which some or all objects at a time are rearranged. The convenient expression to denote permutation is defined as “ nPr ”.
The permutation formula is given by,
| Pr = n!/(n-r)! ; 0 ≤ r ≤ n |

They were dying due to lack of food, water and sanitation. You and your Red Cross team came to their rescue in time, helped set up tent and first aid services for them. This helped us alot.
Thank you.
