The introduction of High Yielding Varieties (HYV) of seeds and the increased use of chemical fertilisers and irrigation are known collectively as Green Revolution. It provided the increase in production needed to make India self-sufficient in foodgrains, thus improved the agricultural sector in India. High yielding wheat was first introduced to India in 1968 by American agronomist Norman Borlaug. Borlaug has been hailed as father of Green Revolution, but MS Swaminathan is known as 'Father of Green Revolution in India'.. Thus, Green Revolution is the term used to describe a new strategy of agricultural development introduced in the late 1960s, in India. It brought about significant increase in food production in India.
The main features of Green Revolution in India were as follows
(i) High Yielding Varieties seeds promised to produce much greater amounts of grain on a single plant.
(ii) Use of advanced technology, chemical fertilisers, pesticides and well-developed system of irrigation.
(iii) These steps solved food crisis in India and made India self-sufficient in foodgrains.
(iv) This led to higher income growth and reduced poverty.
(v) This led to commercialisation of agriculture. In many areas, Green Revolution is associated with loss of soil fertility due to increased use of chemical fertilisers. Also, continuous use of groundwater for tubewell irrigation has reduced the water level below the ground.

Red fort and Taj Mahal.....simple....nd ya there very mystery for Taj Mahal innovation....

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 2 months ago (2577571)

We are only familiar about Taj Mahal as it is a one-of-its-kind architecture in the world. In fact, the contemporary world is more familiar about Shah Jahan due to this architecture.
Red Fort or Lal Quila is one of the most-famous monuments in Delhi. It is situated in the Old Delhi which was called as Shahjahanabad during the reign of Mughal Empire.
The striking image of tall minarets, domes and a vast courtyard of Jama Masjid allures us. Deemed as one of the largest mosques in India, the Masjid-i Jahan-Numa (the World-Reflecting Mosque) is a monument built by Shah Jahan. It is said that the Emperor had spent 1 million to build this mosque.
Agra Fort was constructed much earlier than Akbar's time. However, it was it was totally renovated during the time of Shah Jahan. It is said that Shah Jahan demolished many structures inside Agra Fort and built new ones.

Rule 1: When the numbers having the same base are multiplied, add the exponents.

ap × aq = a(p+q)

a = base : p,q = exponents

Rule 2: When the numbers having the same base are divided, subtract the exponents.

ap ÷ aq = a{(p-q)} i.e. a = base: p,q = exponents

Rule 3: Multiply the powers when the numbers are raised by another number.

(ap)= a{(pxq)} =a{(pq)}

The followers of Gandhiji wanted the Englishman Mr. Andrews to stay back in Champaran and help them with their cause. But Gandhiji refused, saying that Indians must fight for their cause themselves. They must not rely upon other Englishmen and use them as props. Thus, he taught his followers a lesson in self-reliance.
