Large expansion of Roman territory was in a less advanced state. Transhumance was spread in the countryside of Numidia. These pastoral and semi-nomadic communities were often on the move, carrying their oven-shaped huts (called mapalia). As Roman estates expanded in North Africa, the pastures of those communities were hugely reduced and their movements more tightly regulated. Even in Spain the north was much less developed, and inhabited largely by a Celtic-speaking peasantry that lived in hilltop villages called castella.

Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain was born into a rich family.
- Although she knew how to read and write Urdu, she was stopped from learning Bangla and English.
- During those days, English was seen as a language that would expose girls to new ideas, which people thought were not correct for them.
- Therefore, it was only boys who were taught English.
- With the support of her elder brother and an elder sister, Rokeya learnt to read and write Bangla and English.
- She went on to become a writer.
- In 1905, when she was merely 25 years old, she wrote a remarkable story titled ‘Sultana’s Dream’ to practise her English skills.
- The story imagined a woman called Sultana who reaches a place called Ladyland.
- Ladyland was described as a place where women had the freedom to study, work and create inventions like controlling rain from the clouds and flying air cars.
- In this Ladyland, the men had been sent into seclusion—their aggressive guns and other weapons of war defeated by the brain power of women.
- As Sultana travels in Ladyland with Sister Sarah, she awakes to realise that she was only dreaming.

There are two methods of classifying the data according to class – intervals, namely exclusive method and Inclusive method.
1. Exclusive method: This method is useful whether the value is complete number or in decimals. In case of exclusive series, value of the upper limit of a class is included in the lower limit of the next class interval. Value of the upper limit of the class is included in that very class interval.
2. Inclusive series : In inclusive series value of the upper limit of a class is included in that very class interval. Inclusive series is useful when value is an incomplete number.

The half-life of a reaction is generally denoted by t1/2. The half-life of reactions depends on the order of reaction and takes different forms for different reaction orders. From the integrated rate equations, concentration of reactants and products at any moment can be determined with the knowledge of time, initial concentration and rate constant of the reaction. Similarly, we can determine time too, with the knowledge of other two variables. The time in which the concentration of the reactant is reduced to one-half of the initial value is known as the half-life of a reaction.
Zero order reaction
In zero order reaction, the rate of reaction depends upon the zeroth power of concentration of reactants. From the integrated rate equation for a zero order reaction with rate constant, k, concentration at any time, t is expressed as,
A → B
[A] = −kt + [A]0
From the definition of half-life of a reaction, at t = t12; [A] = [A]02
⇒ = −kt12 + [A]0
⇒ −kt12 = −[A]02
⇒ t12 = [A]02k
Hence, from the above equation we can conclude that the half life of a zero order reaction depends on initial concentration of reacting species and the rate constant, k. It is directly proportional to initial concentration of the reactant whereas it is inversely proportional to the rate constant, k.

Some chromosomal conditions are caused by changes in the number of chromosomes. These changes are not inherited, but occur as random events during the formation of reproductive cells (eggs and sperm). An error in cell division called nondisjunction results in reproductive cells with an abnormal number of chromosomes. Some chromosomal abnormalities occur when there is an extra chromosome, while others occur when a section of a chromosome is deleted or duplicated. Examples of chromosomal abnormalities include Down syndrome, Trisomy 18, Trisomy 13, Klinefelter syndrome, XYY syndrome, Turner syndrome and triple X syndrome.
