Fruit
Fertilization occurs when one of the sperm cells fuses with the egg inside of an ovule. After fertilization occurs, each ovule develops into a seed. Each seed contains a tiny, undeveloped plant called an embryo. The ovary surrounding the ovules develops into a fruit that contains one or more seeds.

Parasite
Amarbel is an example of the parasite. Cuscuta reflexa is the botanical name for the amarbel. It is also known as giant dodder. It grows in a creative manner over host plants and this species has the capability of producing numerous branches within a short period of time. Since it is a parasitic plant, so it depends on host plants for food. Over haustoria, amarbel provide communication with its host plants. Amarbel is widely used in the treatment for a headache, labour pain, bone fracture, fever and rheumatism.

Statement: For the streamline flow of non-viscous and incompressible liquid, the sum of potential energy, kinetic energy and pressure energy is constant.

Proof: Let us consider the ideal liquid of density ρ flowing through the pipe LM of varying cross-section. Let P1 and P2 be the pressures at ends L and M and A1 and A2 be the areas of cross-sections at ends L and M respectively. Let the liquid enter with velocity V1 and leave with velocity v2. Let A1 > A2. By equation of continuity,

Bernoulli’s principle states that The total mechanical energy of the moving fluid comprising the gravitational potential energy of elevation, the energy associated with the fluid pressure and the kinetic energy of the fluid motion, remains constant.
Bernoulli’s equation formula is a relation between pressure, kinetic energy, and gravitational potential energy of a fluid in a container.
The formula for Bernoulli’s principle is given as:
| p + 12 ρ v2 + ρgh =constant |
Where,
- p is the pressure exerted by the fluid
- v is the velocity of the fluid
- ρ is the density of the fluid
- h is the height of the container

- Each organised skeletal muscle in our body is made of a number of muscle bundles or fascicles held together by a common collagenous connective tissue layer called fascia.
- Each muscle bundle contains a number of muscle fibres and each muscle fibre is lined by the plasma membrane called sarcolemma enclosing the sarcoplasm.
- Muscle fibre is a syncitium as the sarcoplasm contains many nuclei.

Dr. Griffin is the main protagonist, also known as The Invisible Man, who appears as the title character in H. G. Wells' 1897 science fictionnovella The Invisible Man. In the original novel, Griffin is a scientist whose research in optics and experiments into changing the human body's refractive index to that of air results in his becoming invisible. The character has become iconic, particularly in horror fiction, and versions and variations have appeared throughout various media.

Single Column Cash Book:
In this Cash Book entry and posting are made for purely cash transactions. It has only one amount column in each of the debit and credit sides.
![]()
See the design of Single Column Cash Book. It is just like any other ledger account in the T-form.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
In both the debit and credit sides, it has five columns:
(i) Date,
(ii) Particulars,
(iii) Voucher No.,
ADVERTISEMENTS:
(iv) Ledger Folio, and
(v) Amount.
In any other ledger account, there is no Voucher No. column, instead there is Journal Folio column. This is so in the Cash Book because it is also a Journal. Reference must be given here about the evidence of occurrence of the transactions. Amount column gives debit or credit amount as per the nature of the transaction.
Double Column Cash Book:
In this Cash Book entry and posting are made for cash and bank transactions. The design of this Cash Book is like the single column Cash Book except that it has two amount columns on both the debit and credit sides.
![]()
Triple Column Cash Book:
In this Cash Book three amount columns are maintained on both the debit and credit sides—the first column is for discount, the second for cash and the third for bank.

Let us assume that √5 is a rational number.
Sp it t can be expressed in the form p/q where p,q are co-prime integers and q≠0
⇒√5=p/q
On squaring both the sides we get,
⇒5=p²/q²
⇒5q²=p² —————–(i)
p²/5= q²
So 5 divides p
p is a multiple of 5
⇒p=5m
⇒p²=25m² ————-(ii)
From equations (i) and (ii), we get,
5q²=25m²
⇒q²=5m²
⇒q² is a multiple of 5
⇒q is a multiple of 5
Hence, p,q have a common factor 5. This contradicts our assumption that they are co-primes. Therefore, p/q is not a rational number
√5 is an irrational number

Rainbow
- Rainbow is a phenomenon due to combined effect of dispersion, refraction and reflection of sunlight by spherical water droplets of water.
- Rainbow appears when the sun is shining in on one part of the sky (say near western horizon) while it is raining in the opposite part of the sky (say eastern horizon).
- Sunlight is first refracted as it enters a raindrop, which causes the different wavelengths (colours) of white light to separate.
- Longer wavelength of light (red) are bent the least while the shorter wavelength (violet) are bent the most.
- The rays strike the inner surface of the water drop and get internally reflected if the angle between the refracted ray and normal to the drop surface is greater than the critical angle (48º, in this case).
- The reflected light is refracted again as it comes out of the drop as shown in the figure.

- Clouds are formed by the process of evaporation and condensation
- Water evaporates from water bodies and rises up in the air. This air also gets heated.
- Hot air carrying water vapour rises up. It cools down as it goes up.
- Cooling causes condensation of water vapour, which leads to the formation of tiny droplets.
- Tiny droplets grow bigger and heavy by more condensation which ultimately leads to the formation of clouds.
