Because there is low amount thats why the temperature decrease as we go upward

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

Pressure with Height: pressure decreases with increasing altitude. The pressure at any level in the atmosphere may be interpreted as the total weight of the air above a unit area at any elevation. At higher elevations, there are fewer air molecules above a given surface than a similar surface at lower levels. So, as we go up at higher altitude the pressure decreases.

o determine focal length of a given concave mirror:

Materials Required
A concave mirror, a measuring scale, a screen a mirror holder and mirror stand.

Procedure

  1. Select a distant object from the laboratory window (distance should be more than 50 ft).
  2. Fix the concave mirror on the mirror stand placed on the table, facing the distant object.
  3. Place the screen in front of the reflecting surface of the mirror. Move the screen back and forth until a clear, sharp image of the distant object is obtained on the screen.
  4. Measure the distance between the concave mirror and the screen with a metre scale. This distance is the focal length of the given concave mirror. Record the focal length.
  5. Repeat the above procedure twice and record the readings. Take three readings and calculate the average focal length.

A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more components in which the particle size is smaller than 1 nm.

Common examples of solutions are the sugar in water and salt in water solutions, soda water, etc. In a solution, all the components appear as a single phase.

Mendeleev's periodic table is an arrangement of the elements that group similar elements together. He left blank spaces for the undiscovered elements (atomic masses, element: 44, scandium; 68, gallium; 72, germanium; & 100, technetium) so that certain elements can be grouped together.

Mixture Solution
In a mixture, substances are generally just mixed and are not completely dissolved. In a solution, substances are dissolved completely and they cannot be filtered out.
Mixture comprises two or three compounds that aren’t fused chemically. They have no physical interactions. A solution contains two substances that are chemically mixed to form a new compound.
The chemical properties of each substances are retained without change. Chemical properties usually changes.
The amount of substances in a mixture can vary and amounts don’t have a fixed ratio. A solution usually has a fixed ratio or amount of substances.
Mixtures can be classified primarily into two groups, namely homogeneous mixtures and heterogeneous mixtures. A solution is a type of a homogeneous mixture.

Margie is the main character of the story. She is a girl of 11 years of age. She writes a diary on the night of 17th May 2157. (Right now, we are living in 2018. As told earlier, the story is set in the future and it is set in the year 2157, so almost one and a half century that is 140 years from now). At that time, Margie writes an entry in her diary and she writes that ‘Tommy found a real book’ and she is feeling so strange because in her times, real books do not exist. They only have e-books, the virtual books. So, books in the format of print on paper are extinct and so, Margie is astonished to see a real book.

Graphite

Graphite

1) Graphite is soft and slippery because there are only weak intermolecular forces between its layers. Graphite is a good conductor of heat and electricity.

2) Graphite can conduct electricity because of the delocalised (free) electrons in its structure.

3) These arise because each carbon atom is only bonded to 3 other carbon atomsHowever, in diamond, all 4 outer electrons on each carbon atom are used in covalent bonding, so there are no delocalised electrons.

4) These electrons in graphite are free to move through the structure.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

Non-metals are elements that generally cannot conduct electricity. They are the second-largest class of elements after metals. Carbon is the only non-metal which conducts electricity. It is classified as a semi-metal when it is in the form of graphite. In a graphite molecule, one valence electron of each carbon atom remains free, Thus making graphite a good conductor of electricity. Whereas in diamond, they have no free mobile electron. Hence, there won’t be a flow of electrons That is the reason behind the diamond is bad conductor electricity.

(i) Solid to Liquid: Fusion
(ii) Liquid to Gas: Vaporisation
(iii) Gas to liquid: Condensation
(iv) Liquid to Solid: Solidification
(v) Solid to Gas: Sublimation
(vi) Gas to Solid: Sublimation

The Primary sector includes activities related to , agriculture, forestry, mining, quarrying and fishing. These activities form the base for all other products that are manufactured. An example is of a carpenter making wooden furniture.
For this Secondary activity, he will need wood as a raw material, which is obtained through the forestry activity. Similarly, jeans are made from cotton, which is provided by agriculture. This is the reason why the word ‘Primary’ is used for these activities.
