Miss Beam was a middle-aged, authoritative, yet kind and understanding woman. Her hair was grey and she was a little fat. Miss beam was the director of a boarding school where boys and girls stayed and studied. There was something very special about this school - children have to live the life of the blind, deaf and lame for a day. The real aim of Miss Beam’s school was to make them thoughtful. They were trained to be kind to others and become responsible citizens. The school aimed at teaching ‘thoughtfulness’.

detailed answer
At the start of the poem, the top of the Laburnum tree in the poem is silent and still. There is hardly any activity on it as the sunlight falls on it on a September afternoon. However, with the arrival of the goldfinch, it suddenly becomes a place of feverish activity. The silence of the place is broken by the twittering and chirruping of the chicks and the goldfinch.
I think that the change brought about by the arrival of the goldfinch on the Laburnum top is good, as it breaks the monotony. The tree becomes alive and lively with the movement of the goldfinch and the twitterings and chirrupings of the chicks.
Change can be good or bad in life depending on a situation. However, the fact is that change is the only constant in life. So, even if a change is bad, we have to accept it and move on in life.

Yes, we can say that Griffin was a lawless person. He didn't follow the law and order of the country as he thought of having his revenge by setting out fire in his landlord's property. He didn't believe in observing law. He robbed a shopkeeper of all the money he could find. In addition to that, he hit him hard from behind to escape without being seen. He stole the housekeeping money from the clergyman's desk. He also attacked Mrs. Hall with his cap and her furniture when she intruded his room. All these instances prove that he was a lawless person.

Chubukov is one of three characters in the one act play"The Proposal" by Anton Chekhov. Chubukov is a caring, sensible father to both Natalya and his business. Like all business deals, he even looks for the lucrative aspects in Natalya's marriage. Her emotions do not matter to him. He is ready to get his daughter married to Lomov. Just for the money and property he owns and not for the person he is. Chubukov forces Lomov to Marry her without any further delay. In no time, he manages to convince a confused Lomov. But then again, they stand fighting over petty cases. This time , Chubukov raises a Champagne to ask to shout them down. Throughout the play, he is the only person who is highly motivated towards the marriage, as he could hardly overlook the monetary benefits. So, as a humanitarian father, he fails, fails miserably.

O is the centre of the given circle.
A tangent PR has been drawn touching the circle at point P.
Draw QP ⊥ RP at point P, such that point Q lies on the circle.
∠OPR = 90° (radius ⊥ tangent)
Also, ∠QPR = 90° (Given)
∴ ∠OPR = ∠QPR
Now, above case is possible only when centre O lies on the line QP.
Hence, perpendicular at the point of contact to the tangent to a circle passes through the centre of the circle.
