Subscription is the main source of income for an NPO besides entrance fees, donations, grants, etc. Subscriptions refer to the amount of money paid by the members on periodic basis for keeping their membership with the organisation alive. It is paid monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually by the members.

It is shown in the debit side of the Receipt and Payment Account with the total amount received during the year that may be related to the current period and to the previous and next accounting period.

While calculating subscription for the current period, advance subscription received for the current period in the previous period and outstanding subscription for the current period are added to the subscription received during the current period. Whereas, on the other hand, advance subscription received for the next accounting period during the current period and outstanding subscription for the preceding period are deducted from the subscription received during the current period.

Ultimately, Aram and Mourad returned the horse to its rightful owner, John Byro. It gives birth to two questions. Were they conscience-stricken or afraid? The answer is very simple. They were conscience-stricken. Both of them belonged to the Garoghlanian family. The family had earned name and fame for integrity and honesty. No member of the tribe could ever be accused of dishonesty or any shady deal. Aram and Mourad dared not break that glorious tradition. They had to maintain the good name and honesty of Garoghlanians. Hence, they overcame their childish passions and pranks. They decided to return the horse to Byro. Yes, they feared too. They feared to be considered as thieves. They feared lest they should put their tribe to shame by their action.

No doubt, there came moments when both Aram and Mourad justified the stealing of the horse. Stealing a horse for riding and fun was not the same as stealing and selling it for money. Hence, Mourad stole the horse and hid it in the barn. Pangs of conscience pricked them. Hence, they decided to return the horse to its rightful owner.

In eyeglasses, bifocal lenses contain two different prescriptions: an upper section to allow for distance vision and an additional power on the bottom part of the lens to aid in close up focus. The result is vision clarity at both distance and near with one pair of glasses.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

Bifocals: A bifocal lens is created with two different areas of vision correction, which are divided by a distinct line that sits horizontally across the lens. The top portion of the lens is used for distance, while the bottom portion of the lens is used for closer vision.

(x-5)/3 = (x-3)/5 5( x-5) = 3 ( x - 3) 5x - 5(5) = 3x - 3(3) 5x - 25 = 3x - 9 5x - 3x = -9 + 25 2x = 16 x = 16/2 = 8

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

(x-5)/3 = (x-3)/5

5( x-5) = 3 ( x - 3)

5x - 5(5) = 3x - 3(3)

5x - 25 = 3x - 9

5x - 3x = -9 + 25

2x = 16

x = 16/2 = 8

Sea-floor spreading — In the early 1960s, Princeton geologist Harry Hess proposed the hypothesis of sea-floor spreading, in which basaltic magma from the mantle rises to create new ocean floor at mid-ocean ridges. On each side of the ridge, sea floor moves from the ridge towards the deep-sea trenches, where it is subducted and recycled back into the mantle . A test of the hypothesis of sea-floor spreading was provided by studies of the Earth's magnetism.

The plate movements are classified into three types:
(i) Some plates come towards each other and form convergent boundaries.
(ii) Some plates move away from each other and form divergent boundary.
(iii) At times, they may also move horizontally past each other and form transform boundary.
When two plates come together, they are known as convergent plates. They are also known as constructive plates. When two plates move far away from each other, they are known as divergent plates. When two plates coming towards each other collide or burst pass, they are known as transform plate. The movement of plates causes volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, formation of mountains, etc.

Communication is one of the most vital elements of society. People need people, and to interact, it's essential they be able to convey messages and understand each other. The communication cycle expresses how the system of conveying and understanding messages operates.

Different depictions of the cycle may include slightly different steps and descriptions, but most agree on the basic elements:

  • Sender: the person or entity originating the communication
  • Message: the information that the sender wishes to convey
  • Encoding: how the sender chooses to bring the message into a form appropriate for sending
  • Channel: the means by which the message is sent
  • Receiver: the person or entity to whom the message is sent
  • Decoding: how the receiver interprets and understands the message
  • Feedback: the receiver's response to the message

The rocks equidistant on either sides of the crest of mid-oceanic ridges show remarkable similarities in terms of period of formation, chemical compositions and magnetic properties. Rocks closer to the mid-oceanic ridges have normal polarity and are the youngest. The age of the rocks increases as one moves away from the crest.
