Role of women in Nazi society followed the rules of a largely patriarchal or male-dominated society. Hitler hailed women as "the most important citizen" in his Germany, but this was true for only Aryan women who bred pure-blooded Aryan children. Motherhood was the only goal they were taught to reach for, apart from performing the stereotypical functions of managing the household and being good wives. This was in stark contrast to the role of women in the French Revolution where women led movements and fought for rights to education and equal wages. They were allowed to form political clubs, and schooling was made compulsory for them after the French Revolution.

17th group's elements called halogens

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

Halogens are nonmetals. At room temperature, fluorine and chlorine are gases and bromine is a liquid. Iodine and astatine are solids. Halogens are very reactive, the reactivity decreases from fluorine to astatine. Halogens do not exist in the elemental form in nature. Astatine isotopes are radioactive with short half-lives.

The halogens are a group in the periodic table consisting of five chemically related elements flourine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I) and astatine (At).

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

The peasants joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (1930-34) because poor peasantry were not just interested in the lowering of the revenue demand. Many had rented land. They could not pay rent because of the depression and dwindling cash incomes. They wanted the unpaid rent to landlord remitted.

The zeroth law of thermodynamics states that ‘two systems in thermal equilibrium with a third system separately are in thermal equilibrium with each other’. The Zeroth Law leads to the concept of temperature. 2. Internal energy of a system is the sum of kinetic energies and potential energies of the molecular constituents of the system. It does not include the over-all kinetic energy of the system. Heat and work are two modes of energy transfer to the system. Heat is the energy transfer arising due to temperature difference between the system and the surroundings. Work is energy transfer brought about by other means, such as moving the piston of a cylinder containing the gas, by raising or lowering some weight connected to it. 3. The first law of thermodynamics is the general law of conservation of energy applied to any system in which energy transfer from or to the surroundings (through heat and work) is taken into account. It states that ∆Q = ∆U + ∆W where ∆Q is the heat supplied to the system, ∆W is the work done by the system and ∆U is the change in internal energy of the system. Now suppose η R < ηI i.e. if R were to act as an engine it would give less work output than that of I i.e. W < W ′ for a given Q1 . With R acting like a refrigerator, this would mean Q2 = Q1 – W > Q1 – W ′. Thus, on the whole, the coupled I-R system extracts heat (Q1 – W) – (Q1 – W ′) = (W ′ – W ) from the cold reservoir and delivers the same amount of work in one cycle, without any change in the source or anywhere else. This is clearly against the Kelvin-Planck statement of the Second Law of Thermodynamics. Hence the assertion ηI > η R is wrong. No engine can have efficiency greater than that of the Carnot engine. A similar argument can be constructed to show that a reversible engine with one particular substance cannot be more efficient than the one using another substance. The maximum efficiency of a Carnot engine given by Eq. (12.32) is independent of the nature of the system performing the Carnot cycle of operations. Thus we are justified in using an ideal gas as a system in the calculation of efficiency η of a Carnot engine. The ideal gas has a simple equation of state, which allows us to readily calculate η, but the final result for η, [Eq. (12.32)], is true for any Carnot engine. This final remark shows that in a Carnot cycle, 2 1 2 1 T T = Q Q (12.33) is a universal relation independent of the nature of the system. Here Q1 and Q2 are respectively, the heat absorbed and released isothermally (from the hot and to the cold reservoirs) in a Carnot engine. Equation (12.33), can, therefore, be used as a relation to define a truly universal thermodynamic temperature scale that is independent of any particular properties of the system used in the Carnot cycle. Of course, for an ideal gas as a working substance, this universal temperature is the same as the ideal gas temperature introduced in section 12.11. I R W Fig. 12.12 An irreversible engine (I) coupled to a reversible refrigerator (R). If W ′ > W, this would amount to extraction of heat W′ – W from the sink and its full conversion to work, in contradiction with the Second Law of Thermodynamics. 2020-21

Kingdom Monera is considered as the most primitive group of organisms and monerans are most abundant of all. It generally comprises unicellular organisms with a prokaryotic cell organization. They lack well-defined cell structures including the nucleus and other cell organelles.

They consist of prokaryotes which include species like the Cyanobacteria, archaebacteria, mycoplasma, and bacteria are a few members of this kingdom.

The general features of Monerans are:

  1. Monerans are present in both aerobic and anaerobic environment.
  2. Some have rigid cell walls, while some do not.
  3. The membrane-bound nucleus is absent in monerans.
  4. Habitat – Monerans are found everywhere in hot or thermal springs,  in the deep ocean floor, under ice, in deserts and also inside the body of plants and animals.
  5. They can be autotrophic, i.e., they can synthesize food on their own while some others have a heterotrophic, saprophytic, parasitic, symbiotic, commensalistic and mutualistic modes of nutrition.
  6. Locomotion is with the help of flagella.
  7. Circulation is through diffusion.

Through the process of photosynthesis, carbon dioxide is pulled from the air to produce food made from carbon for plant growth. Carbon moves from plants to animals.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

Photosynthesis by land plants, bacteria, and algae converts carbon dioxide or bicarbonate into organic molecules. Organic molecules made by photosynthesizers are passed through food chains, and cellular respiration converts the organic carbon back into carbon dioxide gas.

I have a question in the end did the child meet his family

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

It was the season of spring. The people of the village came out of their houses, in colourful attire and walked towards the fair. A child along with his parents was going to the fair and was very excited and happy. He was attracted to the stalls of toys and sweets. Though, his father got angry but his mother pacified him and diverted his attention towards other things. The child moved forward but once again lagged behind because his eyes were caught by one thing or the other every now and then.

As they moved forward, the child wanted the various things on the stalls. His mouth watered seeing sweets decorated with gold and silver leaves. He wanted his favourite burfi but knowing that his parents would refuse on the ground that he was greedy, he walked ahead. Then he saw beautiful garlands of gulmohur but didn’t ask for it, then he saw balloons but he knew very well that his parents would deny due to the fact that he was too old to play with balloons, so he walked away.

Then he saw a snake charmer and a roundabout swing. As he stopped to ask his parents for permission to enjoy the swing, to his astonishment, there was no reply. Neither his father nor his mother was there. Now the child realized that he was lost. He ran here and there but could not find them. The place was overcrowded. He got terrified but suddenly a kind hearted man took him up in his arms and consoled the bitterly weeping child. He asked if he would like to have a joyride but the child sobbed “I want my father, I want my mother.” The man offered him sweets, balloons and garland but the child kept sobbing “I want my father, I want my mother.”

Following are the important differences between RAM and ROM.

<th>Sr. No.</th> <th>Key</th> <th>RAM</th> <th>ROM</th>
1 Definition RAM stands for Random Access Memory. ROM stands for Read Only Memory.
2 Data Retention RAM data is volatile. Data is present till power supply is present. ROM data is permanent. Data remains even after power supply is not present.
3 Data Access RAM data can be read, erased or modified. ROM data is readonly.
4 Usage RAM is used to store data that CPU needs for current instruction processing. ROM is used to store data that in needed to bootstrap the computer.
5 Speed RAM speed is quite high. ROM speed is slower than RAM.
6 CPU Access CPU can access data stored on RAM. Data to be copied from ROM to RAM so that CPU can access its data.
7 Capacity RAM memory is large and high capacity. ROM is generally small and of low capacity.
8 Usage RAM is used as CPU Cache, Primary Memory. ROM is used as firmware by microcontrollers.
9 Cost RAM is costly. ROM is cheap.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

RAM ROM
Definition of RAM is Random Access Memory Definition of ROM is Read only Memory
Random Access Memory (RAM) is expensive when compared to ROM ROM is cheaper when compared to RAM.
The speed of Random Access Memory (RAM) is higher when compared to ROM The speed of Read only Memory (ROM) is slower when compared to RAM.
Random Access Memory (RAM) has a higher capacity when compared to ROM ROM has a lower capacity compared to RAM
Data in RAM can be modified, erased, or read. Data in ROM can only be read, it cannot be modified or erased.
The data stored in RAM is used by the Central Processing Unit (CPU) to process current instructions The data stored in ROM is used to bootstrap the computer.
Data stored on RAM can be accessed by the Central Processing Unit. If the Central Processing Unit (CPU) needs to access the data on ROM, first the data must be transferred to RAM, and then the Central Processing Unit (CPU) will be able to access the data.
Data of RAM is very volatile, it will exist as long as there is no interruption in power. Data present in Read Only Memory (ROM) is not volatile, it is permanent. Data will remain unchanged even when there is a disruption in the power supply.
