Typhoon develops from the thunderstorms formed on the surface of the ocean.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

Cyclone is a large scale air mass that rotates around strong centers of low pressure.

  • Water vapors are formed when water is heated.
  • This heat is released to atmosphere when water vapors convert to water during rains.
  • The heat released, warms the air around and makes it to move up. This also results in decreased air pressure.
  • Hence, cooler air from surrounding rushes to take the warm air’s place.
  • This repeats till a low pressure system with surrounding high speed winds is created. This is called a Cyclone.
  • Cyclone depends on wind speed, direction, temperature and humidity.

Cyclones are also called Hurricane in USA and Typhoon in Japan and Philippines

Bholi was a neglected child because of her ugliness caused by small pox, her stammering and her lack of intelligence.

In the short story ‘Bholi’ by the renowned Urdu writer Khwaja Ahmad Abbas. Bholi was a small girl neglected by all including her parents and siblings. She was not intelligent and a very slow learner.

This was because she had fallen off from her cot and damaged her brain when she was very small. She stammered while speaking. Her looks were also not attractive as she had been hit by a severe bout of small pox. Thus for all her handicaps she was neglected by all.

IUCD( Intrautrine devices) - These devices are plastic or metal objects placed in the uterus of the female by a doctor. These may be categorized as non- medicated IUDs (Lippes loop), copper releasing IUDs (Cu T, Cu 7) and the hormone releasing IUDs (Progestasert, LNG- 20), dalcon shield. Diaphragam- It is soft, cup shaped rubber device being used by women to cover entrance to the uterus. It is smeared with spermicide before use. ?Adithya ? H. M.. 5 years, 1 month ago (9991271)

Mechanical barriers are devices that provide a physical barrier between the sperm and the egg. Examples of mechanical barriers include the male condom, female condom, diaphragm, cervical cap, and sponge. The condom is the only contraceptive method that helps prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Drop a perpendicular from O to both chords AB and CD

In △OMP and △ONP

As chords are equal, perpendicular from centre would also be equal.

OM=ON

OP is common.

∠OMP=∠ONP=90o

△OMP ≅ △ONP (RHS Congruence)

PM=PN                                               ......................(1)

AM=BM              (Perpendicular from centre bisects the chord)

Similarly ,CN=DN

As AB=CD

AB−AM=CD−DN

BM=CN                                                 .........................(2)

From (1) and (2)

BM−PM=CN−PN

PB=PC

AM=DN                   (Half the length of equal chords are equal)

AM+PM=DN+PN

AP=PD

Therefore , PB=PC  and AP=PD is proved.

A) Work function of caesium (WO) = hvo

Therefore vo = WO/h = 1.9 x1.602 x10-19 / 6.626x10-34

= 4.59x1014/sec

B) λo =c/vo = 3x10/ 4.59x1014 = 6.54x10-7m

C) K.E of ejected electron = h(v-vo) = hc(1/λ – 1/ λo)

=(6.626x3x10-26) (1/500x10-9 – 1/654x10-9)

=(6.626x3x10-26/ 10-9(154/500x654)

= 9.36x10-20J

k.E = 1mv2/2 = 9.36x10-20J

=9.1x10-31/2 = 9.36x10-20J

Or

v2 = 20.55x1010m2s-2

Or

v = 4.53x105ms-1

Homologous chromosomes are the chromosomes which are similar but not identical. These are similar in length, gene position and centromere location. The stage in which paired homologous chromosomes get shortened and thickened is diplotene stage of Prophase1 of Meiosis
1. The homologous chromosomes undergo genetic recombination. The chromosomes reduce to homologous chromosomes in meiosis 1 and then to sister chromatids in meiosis
2. The homologous chromosomes first exchange their DNA in next phase they orient themselves randomly at the equator. Reduction division of homologus chromosomes takes place in meiosis.
