- Cilia and flagella are hair-like outgrowths of the cell membrane.
- Cilia and flagella help in cell movement.
- Core of cilia and flagella is called the axoneme, possesses a number of microtubules running parallel to the long axis.
- The axoneme usually has nine pairs of doublets of radially arranged peripheral microtubules, and a pair of centrally located microtubules. Such an arrangement of axonemal microtubules is referred to as the 9+2 array.
- The central tubules are connected by bridges and is also enclosed by a central sheath, which is connected to one of the tubules of each peripheral doublets by a radial spoke and hence there are nine radial spokes.
- The peripheral doublets are also interconnected by linkers.
- Both the cilium and flagellum emerge from centriole-like structure called the basal bodies.

- A public prosecutor represents the state in any criminal case. It is because a crime is considered a crime against the entire society.
- After the completion of the enquiry by the police, the public prosecutor begins the prosecution on behalf of the state.
- A public prosecutor has to act impartially while examining facts and witnesses. He/she then has to present his/her arguments based on the evidences before the court.

During interphase a number of changes take place so as to prepare the cell for division. During this period, the cell experiences growth and DNA replication.
The interphase is divided into three phases, which are as follows:
(i) G1 phase (Gap 1): During this phase, the cell is metabolically active and continuously grows and prepares its DNA for replication.
(ii) S phase (Synthesis): During this phase, DNA synthesis or replication takes place. In this phase, the amount of DNA per cell doubles, but the number of chromosomes remain the same.
(iii) G2 phase (Gap 2): During this phase, proteins and RNA synthesis take place so to prepare the cell for mitosis. The cell growth continues during this phase.

Mirror formula is the relationship between object distance (u), image distance (v), and focal length.
Derivation
The figure shows an object AB at a distance ‘u’ from the pole of a concave mirror. The image A1B1 is formed at a distance ‘v’ from the mirror. The position of the image is obtained by drawing a ray diagram.
Consider the D A1CB1 and D ACB
[when two angles of D A1CB1 and D ACB are equal then the third angle
But ED = AB
From equations (1) and (2)
If D is very close to P then EF = PF
But PC = R, PB = u, PB 1 = v, PF = f
By sign convention
PC = -R, PB = -u, PF = -f and PB 1 = -v
Equation (3) can be written as
Dividing equation (4) throughout by uvf we get
Hence, equation (5) gives the mirror formula.

It is true that development for one may not be development for the other.
(i) More wages means development for a worker, but it can go against the entrepreneur.
(ii) A rich farmer or trader wants to sell food grains at a higher price but a poor worker wants to purchase it for low prices.
(iii) Construction of a dam means more and cheap power, but people, who will lose their habitat will demonstrate.
(iv) To get more electricity, the industrialists may want more dams. But this may submerge the agricultural land, and disrupt the lives of the people
