A compound is a substance formed when two or more chemical elements are chemically bonded together. ... Example 1: Pure water is a compound made from two elements - hydrogen and oxygen. The ratio of hydrogen to oxygen in water is always 2:1. Each molecule of water contains two hydrogen atoms bonded to a single oxygen atom. Water is a substance composed of the chemical elements hydrogen and oxygen and existing in gaseous, liquid, and solid states. It is one of the most plentiful and essential of compounds.

Reverse osmosis occurs when water is moved across the membrane against the concentration gradient, from lower concentration to higher concentration. Reverse osmosis is an active process. Osmosis is the process in which water molecules move from a region of higher water potential to a region of lower potential down a water potential gradient across a partially permeable membrane, so little energy is required to carry out this process, thus it is a form or passive transport.

A mainframe computer, informally called a mainframe or big iron, is a computer used primarily by large organizations for critical applications, bulk data processing (such as the census and industry and consumer statistics, enterprise resource planning, and large-scale transaction processing. The examples of mainframe computers are IBM zSeries, System z9 and System z10 servers. If, any large organization gets any one miscalculation in entire entries then it can lead to big problem due to misinterpretation. Examples of mainframe computers include the IBM zSeries, System z9 and System z10 servers.

3 : 8 = 3/8 = (3 × 2)/(8 × 2), [Multiply both numerator and denominator by 2]
= 6/16
= 6 : 16 is the first equivalent ratio.
3 : 8 = 3/8 = (3 × 4)/(8 × 4), [Multiply both numerator and denominator by 4]
= 12/32
= 12 : 32 is the second equivalent ratio.
3 : 8 = 3/8 = (3 × 6)/(8 × 6), [Multiply both numerator and denominator by 6]
= 18/48
= 18 : 48 is the third equivalent ratio.
Therefore, the three equivalent ratios of 3 : 8 are 6 : 16, 12 : 32 and 18 : 48.

The carbonyl group is basically a polar group, that is the carbon-oxygen double bond is polarised due to higher electronegativity of oxygen relative to carbon. This is why aldehyde, containing the carbonyl as the principal functional group are polar in nature. Both aldehydes (R−CHO) and ketones(RCOR′) contain a C=O bond. Oxygen is more electronegative than carbon draws the electron density towards it which creates a slight positive charge over the less electronegative carbon atom and negative charge over the more electronegative oxygen atom. This creates a net dipole moment pointing from carbon towards oxygen and thus makes the compound polar.

We know that graph of general equation of first degree in two variables, Ax + By + C = 0, where A, B and C are real constants such that A and B are not zero simultaneously is a straight line.
Thus General Equation of Straight line is Ax + By + C = 0, where A, B and C are real constants such that A and B are not zero simultaneously.

The graph of the linear equation y = mx + c is a line with m as slope, m and c as y-intercept. This form of the linear equation is called slope-intercept form. The values of m and c are real numbers.
The slope, m, represents the steepness of a line. The slope of the line is also termed as gradient, sometimes. The y-intercept, b, of a line, represents the y-coordinate of the point where the graph of the line intersects the y-axis.
