Brain cancer can arise from many different types of brain cells (primary brain cancer) or occur when cancer cells from other parts of the body spread (metastasize) to the brain. True brain cancers are those that arise in the brain itself.

Origin and development of Rajasthani painting Origin Rajput paintings were confined around Rajasthan, Bundelkhand and Punjab region of the Himalayas. It has been subdivided into two styles based on geographic and stylistic differences: The Rajasthani School covering the areas of Mewar (later Udaipur), Jaipur, Bundi, Kishangarh, Jodhpur, Bikaner. The Pahari School includes painting of Basohli, Kangra , Guler, Nurpur, Chamba, Mandi, Haripur and Tehri- Garwal. Each of the schools is a complete unit comprising many sub-schools. Development Two major factors contributed greatly to the development of Rajasthani Paintings. First, the economic prosperity enjoyed by the commercial community of Rajasthan. Second, the revival of Vaishnavism and the growth of Bhakti cult. In the 14th century the influence of poets and writers like Ramanuja , the worshipper of Lord Vishnu and Jaydev,the worshipper of Lord Krishna brought about great changes in the art, literature and spiritual awakening of the people all over India. The appearance of Sri Chaitanya and Meerabai and their total devotion and love for Lord Krishna swept over the whole of India. Rajasthani and Pahari paintings were greatly influenced by the advent (arrival) of Ramananda, Tulsidas, Kabir. lt resulted in the expansion of the imaginative horizon of the artists and in the inclusion of subjects related to Sri Ramcharit, Geet-Govida, Hara- Parvati, ancient tales, live of saints, Baramasa or the monthly festivities of the year and Rag-Raginis based on Indian classical music. Scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, works belonging to the Krishna cult of the Geet-Govinda (written by the Bengali court-poet Jaydeva in 12th century), Bhagvat Puran, the works of Surdas, Keshavdas and Beharilal was a favourite subject-matter for Rajasthani painters because it deals exclusively with the romantic exploits of Radha and Krishna in a pastoral settings. The prepondering theme in these illustrations is love in all its form (treated in variety of ways), as in Nayak -Nayika Bheda" (classification of heros-heroins), Folk-lore and ballads (biraha, type of lok geet) like Dhola-Maru, Sohni-Mahinwal, Laur-Chand, (a papular north Indian biraha by Daut Maulana). Sanskrit classics like Kadambari by Banbhatta, Rasikpriya, Ramchandrika and love episode of Chaut-Panchasika, Nala-Damayanti were illustrated.

 L.C.M of 5 and 7 is 35.

⇒ 2/5 = 2×7/5×7 = 14 /35.

⇒ 3/7 = 3×5/7×5 = 15/35.

By multiplying the numerator and denominator of 14/35 and 15/35 by 4.

⇒ 14/35 = 14 × 4 /35 × 4 = 56/140

⇒15/35 = 15×4 / 35 × 4 = 60 / 140.

Three rational numbers = 57/140 , 58/140 ,59/140.

Note : There are infinite rational or irrational numbers between two numbers.

This invitation to purchase shares is also known as the initial public offering (IPO)<wbr />, through which a public company can raise the funds it requires.

Initial public offerings (IPOs) are when a company offers stock shares to the public for the first time. IPOs can help a growing company expand, and it also allows early investors to cash in on their investments.

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

IPO grading is the grade assigned by Sebi-registered credit rating agency or agencies to an initial public offering (IPO). The grade represents a relative assessment of the fundamentals of that issue in relation to the other listed securities in India.

Here, one must note that the IPO grading is done without considering the price band at which the security is offered in the IPO. Investors need to make an independent judgment regarding the price at which they should bid for.

If a body is taken from the surface of the earth to a point at a height ‘h’ above the surface of the earth, then r= R and r= R + h then,

ΔU = GMm [1/R – 1/(R+h)]

ΔU = GMmh/R(R + h)

When, h<<R, then, R + h = R and g = GM/R2.

On substituting this in the above equation we get,

Gravitational Potential Energy ΔU = mgh

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

When a body of mass (m) is moved from infinity to a point inside the gravitational influence of a source mass (M) without accelerating it, the amount of work done in displacing it into the source field is stored in the form of potential energy this is known as gravitational potential energy. It is represented with the symbol Ug.

The equation for gravitational potential energy is:

⇒ GPE = m⋅g⋅h

Where,

  • m is the mass in kilograms,
  • g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 on Earth)
  • h is the height above the ground in meters

Let P be an axial point at distance r from the center of the dipole. Electric potential at point P is given as

V=V1+V 2

V1 and V 2

are the potentials at point P due to charges +q and –q respectively

V=1/ 4πε0( q/r−2a+(-q/ r+2a ))

V= 1/4πε0 ( 4a/(r²-4a²))

V= 1/4πε0(2P/(r²-4a²))

Hence, the electric potential is 1/4πε0 (2P/r²-4a²))

Gaurav Seth 5 years ago (2898529)

Consider, two charges q and -q seperated by distance 2a such that, it's total charge is 0.

Potential due to charge q =
Potential due to charge -q =
Potential due to dipole, is the sum of potential due to charges q and -q.
Therefore,

 where, r1 and r2 are distances of charges q and -q from point P.

Now,

Considering r much greater than a, r>>a.

Therefore,

Putting these values in the above equation of potential we have,

where,

For potential at any point on axis,
V=

Potential is positive when  and potential is negative when  .

Electrical potential falls off at large distance, as  and not as characteristic of the potential due to a single charge.

The first crisis the lunar explorers faced came just short of moonfall. The Apollo 11 Lunar Module, code – named ‘eagle’, was still 9.5 km (6 miles) up when the vital guidance computer began flashing an alarm. It was overloading. Any second it could give up the ghost under the mounting pressure and nothing the two astronauts could do would save the mission. Emergencies were nothing new to Commander Neil Armstrong but he and his co – pilot Buzz Aldrin hadn’t even practised for this one on the ground – no one believed it could happen. Sweeping feet first towards their target, they pressed ahead as controllers on Earth waited heart – in – mouth. Racing against the computer, Eagle slowed and then pitched upright to stand on its rocket plume and gave Armstrong his first view of the landing site. The wrong one! They had overshot by four miles into unfamiliar territory and were heading straight for a football field size crater filled with boulders “the size of Volkswagens”. 2. With his fuel running out, and only a minute’s flying time left, Armstrong coolly accelerated the hovering Eagle beyond the crater, touching 88 kph (55mph). Controllers were puzzled and alarmed by the unplanned manoeuvres. Mission Director George Hale pleaded silently: “Get it down, Neil. Get it down.” The seconds ticked away. 3. “Forward, drifting right,” Aldrin said. And then, with less than 20 seconds left, came the magic word: “Contact!” 4. Armstrong spoke first: “Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed.” His words were heard by 600 million people – a fifth of humanity. 5. About six and a half hours later, Eagle’s front door was opened and Armstrong backed out onto a small porch. He wore a €200,000 moonsuit, a sort of thermos flask capable of stopping micrometeoroids travelling 30 times faster than a rifle bullet. He carried a backpack which weighed 49 kgs and enough oxygen for a few hours. Heading down the ladder, Armstrong unveiled a €200,000 TV camera so the world could witness his first step: “That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind.” It was 3.56 am, 21 July, 1969. On the basis of your reading of the passage make notes on it in points only, using abbreviations wherever necessary. Supply a suitable title. Write a summary of the passage in 80 words.

BIOT-SAVART LAW:

  • We already know now that current carrying conductor generates magnetic field around themselves. Biot-Savart law just mathematically states the intensity of this magnetic field at a point.
  • According to the Biot-Savart law, magnetic field dBdue to current element idl, at a pointP situated at distancer from the current element idl,is:

i) directly proportional to the current element idl, ii) directly proportional to the sine of the angle (θ) between current element and r, and iii) inversely proportional to the square of the distance r between current element and the point

dB∝idl (sinθ)/r2

dB = (μo/4π)×idl×(sinθ)/r2

dB = idl × r / r3

Will Thorne is one of those who went in search of seasonal work, loading bricks and doing odd jobs. He describes how job-seekers walked to London in search of work:

‘I had always wanted to go to London, and my desire … was stimulated by letters from an old workmate … who was now working at the Old Kent Road Gas Works … I finally decided to go … in November, 1881. With two friends I started out to walk the journey, filled with the hope that we would be able to obtain employment, when we get there, with the kind assistance of my friend … we had little money when we started, not enough to pay for our food and lodgings each night until we arrived in London. Some days we walked as much as twenty miles, and other days less. Our money was gone at the end of the third day … For two nights we slept out – once under a haystack, and once in an old farm shed … On arrival in London we tried to find … my friend … but … were unsuccessful. Our money was gone, so there was nothing for us to do but to walk around until late at night, and then try to find some place to sleep. We found an old building and slept in it that night. The next day, Sunday, late in the afternoon, we got to the Old Kent Gas Works, and applied for work. To my great surprise, the man we had been looking for was working at the time. He spoke to the foreman and I was given a job.’ Quoted in Raphael Samuel, ‘Comers and Goers’, in H.J. Dyos and Michael Wolff, eds, The Victorian City: Images and Realities, 1973.

Mayank Rauthan 5 years ago (10201183)

A chemical reaction is in which the bonds are broken within reactant molecules, and new bonds are formed within product molecules in order to form a new substance. Two examples are:- #hydrogen + oxygen ---> water #iron + oxygen ---> rust Types of reactions are as follows:- 1. Combination Reaction A reaction in which two or more reactants combine to form a single product is known as a combination reaction.It takes the form of X + Y → XYCombination reaction is also known as a synthesis reaction.Example of combination reaction: 2Na + Cl2 → 2NaCl 2. Decomposition Reaction A reaction in which a single compound breaks into two or more simpler compounds is known as a decomposition reaction.It takes the form of XY → X + YA decomposition reaction is just the opposite of combination reaction.Example of a decomposition reaction: CaCO3 → CaO + CO2The reaction in which a compound decomposes due to heating is known as a thermal decomposition reaction. 3. Displacement Reaction A chemical reaction in which a more reactive element displaces a less reactive element from its aqueous salt solution.It takes the form X + YZ → XZ + YIt is also called a substitution reactionExample of displacement reaction: Zn + CuSO4 → ZnSO4 + Cu 4. Double Displacement Reaction A chemical reaction in which ions gets exchanged between two reactants which form a new compound is called a double displacement reaction.It takes the form of XY + ZA → XZ + YAIt is also called a metathesis reactionExample of double displacement reaction:             BBaCl2 + Na2SO4 → BaSO4 + 2NaCl 5. Precipitation Reaction A chemical reaction that involves the formation of an insoluble product (precipitate; solid) is called Precipitation reaction.The reactants are soluble, but the product formed would be insoluble and separates out as a solid.The chemical equation by which a chemical change is described is adequate for reaction in solutions, but for reactions of ionic compounds in aqueous solution (water), the typical molecular equation has different representations.A molecular equation may indicate formulas of reactants and products that are not present and eliminate completely the formulas of the ions that are the real reactants and products.If the substance in the molecular equation that is actually present as dissociated ions are written in the form of their ions, the result is an ionic equation.

Print made Martin Luther able to publish his ideas as a religious reformer. In 1517, he wrote Ninety Five Theses in which he criticised many of the practices and rituals of the Roman Catholic Church. He challenged the church to debate his ideas. Luther’s writings were immediately reproduced in vast numbers and were widely read. This led to a division within the Church and led to the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. Luther expressed his gratitude to print, by saying, ‘Printing is the ultimate gift of God and the greatest one.’ Several scholars, in fact, think that print brought about a new intellectual atmosphere and helped spread the new ideas that led to the Reformation.
