Based on their origin, resources can be classified into abiotic or biotic.
Biotic Resources: These are obtained from biosphere and have life such as human beings, flora and fauna, fisheries, livestock, etc.
Abiotic Resources: All those things which are composed of non-living things are called abiotic resources. For example, sunlight, temperature, minerals, etc.

Continuous method of endurance development: In this training method exercise is done for long duration without giving any break or pause in between the exercises. In these types of exercises or activities duration of work is more and intensity is less. For example, cross country runs. The continuous method is divided into:
(a) Slow continuous method: In slow continuous method the athlete exercises at a slow pace without any break or pause for very long duration. Marathon and cross country runs are typical examples of continuous method. The heart rate ranges between 140 and 160 beats per minute. The duration of exercise should not be less than 30 minutes and may last upto 2 hours or even more. The activities involved are running, walking, cycling, etc. This type of training aids the runner in preparing himself/herself for actual competition.
(b) Fast continuous method: In fast continuous method, the work is done at faster speed without changing the pace for long without any pause or break in-between the exercise. The duration of work should not be less than 20 minutes for well trained athletes. Heart rate ranges from 160 to 180 beats per minute. As the nature of activity is fast, intensity is high so anaerobic is more strenuous and exhaustive. Fast pace method is very effective for improving the VO2 maximum.
(c) Varied pace method: This method involves change of pace. In this method sportsmen start with fast continuous method then switch on to slow continuous method. Tire heart beat is maintained between 140 and 180 beats per minute. It is also beneficial for improving both aerobic and anaerobic capacity. The total duration ranges from 15 minutes to 1 hour.

This write up about Maria Sharapova inspires us to remain determined and make sacrifices in order to fulfil our dreams. On 22 August 2005, Maria became the top seeded player in the world women’s tennis player rankings. She made great sacrifices to achieve her goal.
At the tender age of nine, she left her home in Siberia, Russia to get training in tennis. She went to Florida in USA with her father. Maria suffered a painful separation from her mother for a period of two years. She could not see her father too as he remained busy working, arranging funds for all her needs. She was bullied by her seniors and being a foreigner, she had to suffer all that patiently. Maria did not feel depressed, rather she was prepared for greater insults too in order to achieve her aim.
Her mantra for success is to work hard and face the toughest competition. Although she was trained in the US, she considers herself to be a Russian and is wiling to represent Russia at the Olympics too.

Banking of road means raising the outer edge of the road with respect to inner edge so that the road makes an angle with the horizontal.
When a vehicle moves along a curve, the force of friction provides the necessary centripetal force. But this force has a limit = μmg.When the speed of the vehicle increases beyond this maximum value, the banking of roads is necessary so that the component of normal reaction of the road towards the centre provides the necessary centripetal force.
From the figure, for vertical equilibrium :
Total upwards force = total downwards force
Ncosθ=mg+fsinθmg=Ncosθ−fsinθ...(1)
As the forces Nsinθ,fcosθ provide the necessary centripetal force.
rmv2=Nsinθ+fcosθ...(2)
Thus dividing (2) by (1),
mgrmv2=Ncosθ−fsinθNsinθ+fcosθ
As f=μsN
Thus,
rgv2=cosθ−μssinθsinθ+μscosθ=1−μstanθtanθ+μs=1−tanλtanθtanθ+tanλ=tan(θ+λ)
v=rgtan(θ+λ) where tanλ=μ

Acid rain water, if mixed with river water, lowers its pH below 5.6, i.e., makes river water acidic. But the living body works normally within a pH range of 7-7.8. That's why flow of acid rain water to river makes the survival of aquatic life in the river difficult.

The electric field exists if and only if there is a electric potential difference. If the charge is uniform at all points, however high the electric potential is, there will not be any electric field. Thus, the relation between electric field and electric potential can be generally expressed as – “Electric field is the negative space derivative of electric potential.”
The relation between Electric field and electric potential is mathematically given by-
{tex}E=-\frac{dV}{dx}{/tex}
Where,
E is the Electric field.
V is the electric potential.
dx is the path length.

– Sign is the electric gradient
Direction of Electric Field
- If the field is directed from lower potential to higher then the direction is taken to be positive.
- If the field is directed from higher potential to lower potential then the direction is taken as negative.

Subject:Concern over the rising no. of vehicles on roads in India causing Problems ..
Respected Sir,
I am a resident of 12 Nepeon Sear Road , Mumbai . I am writing this letter to show my concern over the Rising no. of vehicles in India.
India is a vast country.With an enormous population,And due to a lot of people there are a huge no. of vehicles everyday on the roads . People go to works , jobs etc. , Autos, Rickshaws run, But this is putting a huge impact on Air , people and economy . The pollution caused by Smoke of vehicles produce harmful gasses such as Carbonmonoxide etc. These are very dangerous and May prove fatal if exhaled. They pollute the environment and air.The health risks of air pollution are extremely serious. Poor air quality increases respiratory ailments like asthma and bronchitis, heightens the risk of life-threatening conditions like cancer, and burdens our health care system with substantial medical costs. Particulate matter is singlehandedly responsible for up to 30,000 premature deaths each year.
but as there is a solution to every problem . there are many ways of getting control over this.Clean vehicle and fuel technologies provide us with an affordable, available means of reducing transportation-related air pollution and climate change emissions. These include fuel-efficient vehicles that use less oil; cleaner fuels that produce fewer emissions; and electric cars and trucks that can entirely remove tailpipe emissions.
I hope that you will publish my views in your newspaper,So that the public May get aware and wake up from their slumber and take necessary steps to save their lives and environment too.
yours Sincerely
Amit

(i) x+100=180 [Adjacent angles]
x=80
z=x=80∘ [opposite angles are equal]
y=100∘
(ii) 50+y=180
y=130∘
x=y=130∘ and z=x=130∘ (corresponding angles)
(iii) x=90∘ (vertically opposite angles)
x+y+30=180∘
y=180−120=60∘
z=y=60∘ (Alternate angles)
(iv) z=80,y=80 (Opposite angles)
x+y=180∘,x=180−80⇒x=100∘
(v) y=112∘ (opposite angles)
x+y+40=180∘ (Angle sum property)
x=180−152
x=28∘
z=x=28∘ (Alternate angles)
